Rainbow Hill Villa is a modern well-constructed building comprising 2 spacious living quarters. #1 Main House - Upper Level: 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms, 3,080 Sq Ft #2 Apartment Suite - Lower Level: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1,000+ Sq Ft The space Rainbow Hill Villa is located in the beautiful mountains of Cochrane, Dominica, a traditional Dominican village. It enjoys amazing sunrises and sunsets, cool and comforting year-round breezes, idyllic views of the mountains and surrounding country side, and small glimmers of the sea. Rainbow Hill Villa is in a quiet residential neighborhood, situated in a quiet cul-de-sac on 19,358 square feet of private, fully fenced, flat and beautifully landscaped grounds with coconut trees, papayas, bananas, avocados and other lush vegetation. There are a total of 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. #1 - The Main House at Rainbow Hill Villa, upstairs, was built in 2012, has approximately 3,080 square feet of living space, with 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, living room and dining areas, large kitchen, and covered verandahs in the front and rear of the property. There is excellent cellular phone service and WiFi service. #2 - The Apartment at Rainbow Hill Villa, lower level, has over 1,000 square feet of living space, and was built in mid-2016. It has 2 spacious bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, kitchen, living room and dining, outdoor patios and covered sitting area. Both living quarters are tastefully furnished, have large fully-equipped kitchens with modern full-size appliances, comfortable living/dining rooms, Flat-Screen TV's, and a common laundry room. There’s a total of 2 King beds, 3 Queen beds, 1 sofa bed, plus 3 pull-out chair beds. SWIMMING POOL: There is an 8ft x 18ft above ground plunge pool (no gate) located on the property. Guests are solely responsible for the safety and health of their children, their guests and themselves. ONSITE PARKING: There is convenient onsite parking available for guests inside the electronic gate at Rainbow Hill Villa Properties. Once you've entered the property, please proceed up the long driveway towards the Villa. You'll find ample parking space for three or more vehicles directly in front of the Rainbow Hill Villa building, near the parking garage. *Kindly park facing the fence. There is plenty of parking for everyone. GETTING THERE: A rental car is strongly recommended. The road to the villa is hilly. There are no shopping/eating places within walking distance. Rainbow Hill Villa is very easy to locate. It is almost a straight drive from Roseau to Canefield to Cochrane Village, directly off the Edward Oliver Leblanc Hwy/Goodwill Rd, a 15-18-minute drive from Roseau. Or, from the Douglas - Charles Airport in Melville Hall, it's northeast toward Dr Nicholas Liverpool Hwy/Wiers Rd to the Edward Oliver Leblanc Hwy/Goodwill Rd, to Cochrane Village. Detailed directions to Rainbow Hill Villa are provided. Upon request, we can refer you to a taxi/tour driver for pickup service from your arriving airport, ferry terminal or boat dock. Guest access Guests are free to use all areas of the Villa, the yard and gardens, except for locked areas; i.e., locked closets, doors and cabinets. Each guest rental unit has its own patio area(s), verandah or garden space. The laundry room (behind garage) is a common area, shared with other guests on the property, if any. Other things to note EXTRAS: Our vacation rental homes come well-equipped with extras to make your visit comfortable; extra linens, towels, beach towels, and other basic amenities supplied at no additional cost. There are also fresh herbs and fruit bearing trees like coconut, banana, papaya, avocado, and more, depending on the time of year or season. ELECTRIC OUTLETS: All rental homes at Rainbow Hill Villa Properties are equipped with dual electric outlets, supporting both 110V and 220V. If your devices require a different type of electrical outlet, we recommend bringing your own converter to ensure compatibility. RARE COOL WINTER NIGHTS: It can get a little chilly on rare but occasional evenings, between November and late February. A sweater or shawl might come in handy for cool nights on the patio or verandah. While located only a few minutes from the capital city of Roseau (15 min +/-), our mountain top location offers unique advantages, being up to 2° to 6° (+/-) degrees cooler than many lower areas in Dominica. You will also enjoy constant cooling sea breezes and shaded areas throughout the year. BORROWED VEHICLE PROGRAM: Interested in driving while you are in Dominica? We have a special program that might be of interest to you during your stay at Rainbow Hill Villa Properties. The Property Owner of Rainbow Hill Villa Properties occasionally allows select guests, who are in good standing with Airbnb (with a rating of 4.3 Stars or higher) to borrow one of her personal vehicles at the Villa. The vehicle available through this program is a 2011 Toyota Voxy, which is a comfortable 7-passenger minivan. Please note that we do not rent vehicles. However, at our sole discretion, we sometimes allow the 2011 Toyota Voxy to be contracted to guests through a personal vehicle loan agreement. This agreement would involve the payment of a small security deposit and a daily vehicle use fee. This program is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
