The vaulted ceilings add a sense of space, while the woodburning stove with an unlimited supply of logs, and underfloor heating ensure warmth and comfort in every season. The open living area has a comfy sofa and armchair with lamps to read by, a 43” smart TV with Netflix, and Sky Q, board games, reading material to keep you entertained in the evening and guides to help you plan your adventures during the day. A unique feature of The Little House is the wildlife tv monitor to keep you in touch with the local wildlife that streams the nocturnal activities of badger setts that are just metres away. A rare opportunity to see these remarkable creatures both on camera and in person. There is a dining table and chairs for relaxed meals which could equally be used as a work space, should needs be. There are handy nearby plug sockets and a WIFI speed of approximately 50 Mbps. Although there are numerous restaurants and pubs close by to recommend, should you wish to cook, the well appointed kitchen boasts all you need for a quick snack or a gourmet meal. This includes a gas hob, electric cooker, microwave, fridge, blender, slow cooker, cafetiere plus all essential cookware. There is a washing machine, dryer and freezer you can access in a separate building should you need these. Why not take a short stroll down the track to our local award winning farm shop and cafe where you can stock up on delicious goodies to enjoy during your stay or take home with you. The newly opened cafe serves delicious breakfasts and lunches. The well-appointed bedroom has a double bed (4ft 6in) with a new mattress and topper, 100% Egyptian cotton sheets, electric skylights with blackout blinds, wardrobe, hair dryer and full length mirror. The compact shower room has a toilet, basin, shower, illuminated touch vanity mirror, heated towel rail, fluffy towels, luxury vegan and cruelty free toiletries and lots of little extras that provide everything you need for a luxurious relaxing stay. Outdoor Living & Wildlife Encounters Surrounded by stunning countryside, the Little House is located in the beautiful landscaped and illuminated gardens of the host’s home. Close enough to offer any assistance if needed but always respectful of your privacy. The Little House has its own small private garden, fenced with post and rail additionally lined with stock proof fencing to keep your dog safe. The garden has a veranda with festoon lights, patio, BBQ, and a fire pit for toasting the marshmallows from your welcome hamper. It’s perfect for alfresco dining or stargazing on crisp clear nights. Meet the resident ducks and chickens and enjoy their fresh eggs (seasonal) in your welcome pack. They will be your new best friends if you feed them with the provided food. The doves will welcome you with fantastic aerial display. Watch the horses grazing in the fields and enjoy a warm welcome from Fig our elderly terrier. Beyond the garden, the nearby wildlife pond is a perfect place for a morning coffee or a full blown picnic. Don’t forget to take the fish food with you to watch the fish surface. The bench by the pond is the perfect vantage point for badger watching when dusk falls. The surrounding landscape is alive with wildlife, with regular visits from deer, badgers, rabbits, foxes, buzzards and red kites. Follow the paths between the fields and you will find direct access from the property to miles of scenic footpaths and cycle routes without a road to cross. For the keen cyclist there is secure cycle storage, a hose to wash down and charging facilities for e-bikes. Despite its tranquil setting, 250m up an unmade farm track, the Little House is easily accessible with off-road parking directly outside, and excellent connections to the A3, London and beyond.
