one of the oldest half-timbered houses in the village, built in the 18th century by the Leinewebern, along a stream that meanders through the tranquil Niederorschel in the Eichsfeld - now converted into a rustic holiday home with two separate living studios. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a place to stay in the beloved four-legged friends, so small, cute, and peaceful. We ask for your your understanding and foreseeable requests in this regard. Thank you. The space The offered accommodation is a narrow, two-story half-timbered house with an even narrower modern annex - back out - on a long and also narrow property. The half-timbered house has been family-owned for at least five generations. Around the last turn of the century, the listed house was completely renovated. The flaws were repaired with clay stones and the house was insulated on the inside with reed mats. The dilapidated annex has been torn down and replaced with a modern new wooden building. Today, the half-timbered house has two separate apartments - one on the ground floor and one on the upper floor + roof – that can be rented together or separately from each other. The two apartments have an own entrance. In case of separate rental (we will inform you in advance) you use the yard and the garden together. In the yard you can usually park your cars, unfortunately only one after the other. So if two families live in the house, it would be better if you put your car just around the corner. To the upper apartment offered here: You have to climb a relatively narrow staircase from the yard and first get to a covered terrace and then to the apartment. In the apartment itself there is again a narrow, even steeper staircase that leads up to the sleeping level located directly under the roof. If you want to sleep on sleeping - there is a 1.60 m wide double bed - should be at least three years old, not larger than 2 m and not fragile. Another sleeping possibility is in the garden room, which is located in the new part. Here you can fold out a 1.25 m wide sofa bed (ligne rose and a little hard-polstered). The garden room is decorated with two large windows to the garden and terrace. It is the only one that can be separated by two sliding doors. The couch in the large living area of the old building is also foldable and suitable for a person to sleep. (However, the living space in the old building is not separable opposite the sleeping level.) In addition, various mattresses can be organized in the house, which you can lie down where you want. That means: if you have a tent with you, you can also stay in the garden. The ground floor apartment is laid out according to the same pattern as the apartment upstairs. Living and dining area are in the old building, a living room or bedroom is located in the new building; kitchen, bathroom and sliding doors are located in a box that connects old and new building placed in the middle of the room. In principle, an open space concept awaits you in the two apartments of the vacation home, in which only the bathroom and the garden room (through sliding doors) can be separated spatially. So if you try to stay here in one of the two apartments with more than 4 people – which is in principle possible – should be set to a campsite atmosphere. You might want to know before. Guest access Amenities: Duvets and pillows are available on site in all types, sizes, and shapes. They must be covered with bedding yourself. Alternatively, bedding sets can be rented for an extra charge of 5 euros/person. For 2 more euros, you don't have to take care of pulling up and off. Towel sets are available for a price of 3 euros/person. When booking more than 7 days, linens are included. For less than 8 days' stay, billing can only be made as part of a special offer. Please reach out to me about this. Dish towels and dishcloths are present. Toilet paper, soap, detergent, etc. are actually always around. In other words, if these things are used up during a visit, they must be replaced by the tenant on their own. Various shopping facilities can be found in the village. The kitchen is full equiped with a stove, oven and dishwasher. High chairs, pots and toddler toilets do not have to be brought with you. (If not present, please let me know.) Wifi is available from November 2015. Then you are not quite cut off from the world in Niederorschel anymore. A simple TV with cable and DVD player is in the garden room. Books are available in tons and for every taste - from Utta Danella to Thomas Mann. An exciting novel can be taken home, starting from. We are not inconveniences. In return, we will be happy to receive a book. The same goes for various liquors and liqueurs, tea and coffee, spices and ingredients: drinking and use is allowed. I'm happy to see conservation Children never get bored in this house: children's toys for indoors and outdoors are available, hammocks and swings are hanging around. In addition, children like to walk around in the house - in the truest sense of the word. The bathrooms in the apartments have a separate toilet, but no separate shower. Only one bathtub each. The terrace is covered and illuminated in summer with evening sun. Here you should be careful with an open fire. Under no circumstances should be grilled on the terrace. It's best to grill inside yard. A grill is available. Spider weaving, a bit of dust and animals are included in the price of our vacation home. No, but: It is a very old house, with changing beams, in a rural area. Please expect - as far as the degree of purity is concerned - no hotel room. Even if we do our best - all the animals and brushes can't be removed as quickly as it will be there again at times (especially in late summer and autumn). In winter/autumn, the two apartments are particularly cozy, as they can be heated. However, sometimes it takes a few hours to get really nice and warm. Then please cuddle up in the existing wool blankets. Other things to note The use of the half-timbered house is at your own risk: you could bump your head, slide off, fall off the stairs, from the sleeping level, or from the window... All this has not happened yet - just like never before in the without - the stream run in front of the door - even though the masonry side walls of the stream are not protected with a railing. We'd still like to point this out.
