Important Information While Smithwick Cottage offers a peaceful rural setting, please keep in mind: • The property is located on a working farm, so you may encounter cattle, sheep, chickens, and farm machinery. • For safety reasons, we kindly ask guests not to enter any sheds, barns, the farmhouse, or private gardens unless accompanied by the owners. • The farm boundaries, ponds, and brooks are unfenced. For this reason, we ask that children and dogs are supervised at all times. • Dogs must be kept on a lead when near livestock, and we ask guests not to enter fields where animals are grazing. Guest access As a guest, you’ll have exclusive access to 200 acres of beautiful farmland, with no public footpaths crossing the property. A map detailing the farm boundaries, livestock areas, and walking routes will be provided for your convenience. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful getaway, a base for scenic hikes, or a cozy spot to relax with loved ones, Smithwick Cottage is a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the countryside. Other things to note Included in your stay: Towels - both hand and bath towels for all guests. And a small selection of Yorkshire tea,coffee,sugar and milk to make that perfect cuppa after arriving.
