Description
Alicudi strikes the imagination for its wild hardness, for its conformation of volcanic origin, for the strength of the elements that reign supreme there. And right here, in the upper part of this small island, near the church of S. Bartolo, you will find our delightful little house. A true oasis of quiet for lovers of nature and silence. You can enjoy a slow pace, letting your gaze wander over the infinite blue of the sea or admiring the vast starry sky. The space The house, small and cozy, consists of a single space, furnished with attention to detail and harmony of furnishings. A simple and colorful little house, ideal for giving yourself moments of peace, to return to the little things, to a daily life marked by the sound of the wind, the flight of hawks... Suitable for solo travelers and artists looking for inspiration, couples who love unspoiled nature and explorers who are still capable of being amazed by beauty. The terrace with sea view is shaded with straw in classic Aeolian style, and you will also find a corner equipped with a sink and table to enjoy the beautiful sunny days. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, a convenient fridge, and everything you need to cook delicious meals. The double bed is located on a mezzanine that is accessed by comfortable masonry steps. A few meters from the house is the bathroom equipped with toilet, sink, shower, hairdryer and first aid kit. In addition, in the garden there is also an outdoor shower: in summer it will be pleasant to wash among the trees after a day at the sea and the intense climb. Guest access Casa Bartolina is located in an isolated area, surrounded by nature (at an altitude of about 350 meters) and can be reached in about 50 minutes from the port, walking along a characteristic mule track with breathtaking views of the other Aeolian islands (comfortable shoes and a flashlight for the night are recommended). For the transport of luggage, food and bottled water, it is recommended to book a mule preferably before arrival (cost €60). Water is the most precious commodity on this island and in this house, so responsible use is recommended, avoiding waste. The tap water comes from the cistern that has been filled thanks to the rains of the winter months and should be sufficient even in the long months without rain. The cistern is well maintained but we DO NOT guarantee the potability of the water. Other things to note Please note: at Casa Bartolina the minimum duration of a stay is five days and pets are not allowed. On the island there is a 24-hour emergency medical center, but not a pharmacy (so it is advisable to bring your own usual medications). There are two grocery stores, two bars/restaurants, and you can also dine on typical dishes at some of the island's homes. There are no ATMs or bank counters (only a postal service open 3 days a week), so it is necessary to arrive on the island with cash. Don't miss: - excursions to discover the island following the mule tracks marked on the map (including the wonderful Plains from which to admire the sunset and the steep cliffs overlooking the sea) - boat trip around the island, to enjoy turquoise seabeds and unique views (possibility of renting independently) - in the morning, buy the fish of the day directly from the fishermen - dinner with typical dishes at some of the island's inhabitants (also vegetarian cuisine) Registration Details IT083041C2TNLI5P47
