Converted agricultural building with 5 modern and comfortable suites with private terrace and great views of the valley and the surrounding mountains. The space Vumba is divided into 2 cozy guest houses (Casa do Alambique and Casa da Lagartixa) and 8 elegant suites (Bué Maria, Gorongosa, Beira a as Macuti Flats). All guest houses have access to a large swimming pool surrounded by a lush garden. The property has several roads and trails, as well as five idyllic lagoons. Isolated from the outside world, here you will find the ideal combination of natural resources so you can enjoy nature and experience a truly rural lifestyle. All of our homes have fully equipped kitchens where you can cook your meals, including breakfasts. And there are two small supermarkets in the village where you can find most of the basic ingredients. Also in the village and a 5-minute walk from Vumba, we have “A Churrasqueira” with homemade and tasty take-away food. ACTIVITIES At Vumba, the following activities are also available (depending on the time of year and the availability of our staff): Goat Safari, A truly artisanal cheese factory!Shepherd for a day, Make your own cheese, Mushroom picking, Olive picking and Electric bike rental. What's more, you can also pick up some fresh eggs from our chicken coop for your breakfast, pick some organic vegetables from the garden or fresh fruit from the orchard to use in your meals while you're at Vumba. If you want a special treat, we can organize a true gourmet experience in the wine cellar with Oliver, our guest chef, who will cook a menu of delicious recipes made with local products especially for you. We also have our trails that cross a diverse and protected landscape, consisting of forests and meadows, a privileged habitat for various species of animals and plants. Our guests have at their disposal cycling routes for various levels of fitness, secure outdoor parking for bicycles, a washing area, an equipped mini-workshop, as well as a specific menu for cyclists and a laundry service for cycling clothes. We also offer bicycle rental, transportation for cyclists, technical support, guide service, and charging options for e-bikes. Vumba has everything you need for an amazing cycling experience! There are 73 mapped routes within a 30-kilometer radius of Vumba. This wide variety of routes covers easy, intermediate and specialized cycling and is suitable for all levels of physical fitness.
