Wake up with soft natural light, breathe cool mountain air, and let the forest set your rhythm. TAL Forest Lodge is a retreat for slowing down, reconnecting, and experiencing nature with intention. The space The cabin features two cozy bedrooms with queen beds, a shared bathroom between both rooms, a small kitchen equipped for simple meals, and a warm living-dining area overlooking the forest. Large windows frame the trees, and a raised wooden deck invites reading, coffee mornings, and quiet sunset moments. Included: * Kitchen with gas stove, refrigerator, kettle and French press * Living + dining area * Raised forest deck * Private walking trails and two lookouts * Parking for 2 vehicles * High-speed Starlink WiFi * Unique handcrafted furniture made by local carpenters using wood from our own forest Guest access Guests have full access to the entire lodge, its forest trails, the regenerative farm, the two lookouts (sunrise and sunset), the deck, and all indoor spaces. Other things to note TAL Forest Lodge is an off-grid cabin powered entirely by solar energy. For this reason, please avoid bringing high-consumption appliances such as electric coffee makers, hair dryers, irons, or portable heaters. We provide a kettle and French press for slow, simple coffee mornings. There is no hot water heater; showers are at natural temperature, connected to our mountain spring. We invite guests to leave their shoes at the entrance. We provide comfortable socks so you can walk barefoot and enjoy the grounding feel of the wooden floors. Before you book (important information) To ensure a smooth stay, please note: * Access requires 4x4 vehicle. If you don’t have one, you can leave your vehicle in town and arrange local transport. * The shower uses natural mountain spring water at its fresh, cool temperature (no heater). * The cabin runs 100% on solar energy, so high-consumption devices (hair dryers, irons, electric heaters, etc.) are not allowed. * All food must be stored in the refrigerator, as wildlife may pass through the area at night. * Some raised walkways have no handrail — walk mindfully. * Starlink WiFi available throughout the cabin. * Not suitable for: children, pets, loud groups, or guests requiring wheelchair access. ⸻ What to bring Comfortable walking shoes, a light sweater, natural repellent, and ingredients for simple meals.
