Glamp at the beach at Fire Island National Seashore. Your adventure begins the minute you board the ferry. Furnished Safari platform tents with linens, behind primary dune, a short walk to life guarded ocean beach. Hike the pristine high dune wilderness. Enjoy beach, fishing, clamming, sunsets, sunrises, wildlife, & whale sightings, a perfect family destination spring/summer/fall. NPS rangers w/Jr Ranger program, guided nature & kayak tours. Eat & drink at our outdoor restaurant The space We have eight Glamping sites and two tent sizes. Check with us to see what configurations are available for your dates. There are six platform tents that are 14 x 16 ft on 14 x 24 ft deck platforms (sites 2, 4, 5, 23, 24 and 26) . The other two sites are a 12 ft x 14 ft tent on a 12 ft x 22 ft deck platform (sites 22 and 25). All sizes get the 8 ft extended rain fly creating covered porches with outdoor furniture 8 ft deep by 12 - 14 ft wide. The tents will have the mosquito netting option where the front and back sides roll up to allow airflow and light while keeping bugs out. For bedding the, 14 x 16 ft tents will have two queen beds (memory foam mattresses). You may request up to six total guests in these tents with the addition of 2 Coleman Deluxe Camping Cots with covered foam pads for a small additional fee. The 12 x 14 ft tents will have one queen bed. You may request up to four guests in this size tent (up to 2 additional cots at no additional charge). Every tent will come standard with clean bedding and sateen sheets (including the cots). There will be a dresser, a small makeup mirror and nightstands. Bath towels (not beach) will be provided. Two rechargeable LED lanterns will be provided. On the covered porch, two Adirondack style chairs and a large ice chest cooler will be provided. As with all campsites, there will also be a picnic table and charcoal BBQ grill available. Luxury packages are available where you'll find ice and beverages awaiting your arrival (call our General Store for more info). NOTE, the additional beds are cots not air mattresses and are comfortable. Bathrooms and Showers are about 150 yards at Dune Station. There are mens and womens facilities. Showers are cold water. We provide bath towels soap, shampoo and conditioner. LIfeguarded ocean beach is just over the dune boardwalk at Dune Station. Additionally, you access the Otis High Dune Wilderness at Dune Station, left to the east.
