Description
Spacious one bedroom, self catering ground floor guest suite located on a country lane, in an elevated position with stunning views across St Aubin’s Bay in the south of the Island. A good sized living room with double doors leads onto a large south facing patio complete with table and chairs to sit and enjoy the wonderful aspect. The super king bed can be converted to twins so it is ideal for couples or two people sharing. On site parking for one car. A good bus route is a 15 minute walk away. The space There is a good sized living room with sofa, two chairs and a table with dining chairs. Double doors lead onto a large south facing patio complete with table and chairs to sit and enjoy the wonderful aspect, whilst having breakfast or a quiet drink in the evening. There is a TV and free fibre optic Wifi. A small but well equipped kitchenette has a sink, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. The bedroom, which also has access to an outdoor area, is furnished with a super king bed which can be converted to twins, plenty of cupboard and wardrobe space and the ensuite bathroom has both a free-standing bath and a walk in shower. Guest access Integral to the owners house but with a separate entrance, there is parking for one car and a partially covered area provides shelter for bicycles. Guests will have sole use of the patio area in front of the lounge and bedroom. Owners very friendly dog will visit the garden intermittently. Sorry we cannot accommodate pets. Other things to note Conveniently positioned, the apartment is close to a cycle track through the nearby pretty wooded valley of St Peter which can also be explored by foot either via the track or through the woods. Just down the hill is a path, locally known as a perquage, which leads straight to the promenade on the south coast enabling you to cycle or walk east or west. Information can be provided on walking and bicycle routes, together with details for hiring pedal and electric bikes. Electric bike hire is popular and booking these in advance may be advisable in the height of the season. Jersey has its fair share of hills! Bus routes going east, west or north are approximately 15 minutes walk away and the quaint, historic village of St Aubin, is around 35 minutes by foot; 15 minutes by bike or a 10 minute car ride. Here you will find plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants, with al fresco eating and drinking, together with a few shops and a small supermarket. St Helier is a 10 to 15 minute drive away and the airport approximately 10 minutes. It is a short drive to the beautiful bays of St Brelade, Portelet and St Ouen. One of Jersey’s top attractions, The War Tunnels, is within walking distance. Wheatlands Golf Course is a 10 minute walk away or 2 minutes by car. This 3 par, 9 hole course is in a picturesque, peaceful valley setting and clubs and trollies can be hired. They are currently not serving food. At Beaumont, also within walking distance, you’ll find a supermarket (open Mon - Sat 8am - 8pm, Sun 8am - 7pm), two restaurants, a gastropub and a takeaway. There is another takeaway close by at Sandybrook.
