Description
This large, peaceful Georgian home is set in its own private grounds. There are about six acres of gardens and 12 acres of fields and woodland. Guests are welcome to wander around the property. We have a lovely guest room on the 2nd floor which has a king size bed. There is a separate full bathroom which guests have sole use of. The room has a drinks tray with kettle and a hairdryer. There is a separate breakfast/sitting room downstairs for guests to use. A light breakfast is available. The space This delightful house which has been extensively renovated and modernised is positioned on the edge of Lamberhurst Down and opposite and opposite a great gastro pub. There are a number of good pubs, a cafe serving breakfast and lunches and a general store in the village, with plenty more a little further afield. The bedroom is newly refurbished and is quiet and comfortable with spectacular views across the gardens and valley. The room has a king size bed with high quality bedding. The full bathroom is next door to the bedroom and guests will have sole use of this and the privacy of having the floor to yourselves. The sitting/dining room is for the exclusive use of guests. This room has a small fridge, toaster and kettle and we provide muesli/granola, yoghurt, fruits, bread and preserves along with tea/coffee and milk. We ask that if guests want to bring take away food into the house for dinner that you please use this room and not take food upstairs. Please note that there is no tv in the bedroom or in the sitting room but there is access to wifi in both rooms. Guests are welcome to walk through our gardens and fields and there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. There is a heated outdoor pool and hot tub available from April to September, depending on the weather. If you want to use these facilities we will book in some time for you. We have an extra charge for use of the pool. Please ask if you are interested. We are in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty so there are many places to visit locally and easy access to the coast with the quaint town of Rye and the old town of Hastings. We have Scotty Castle on our doorstep and other attractions like Bayham Abbey, Bewl Water, Bedgebury Pinetum, Pashley Manor Gardens, Batemans, Chartwell, Hever Castle and Sissinghurst only a short drive away. Wadhurst, which is only ten minutes drive, was named the UK's overall best place to live in 2023 by The Sunday Times. They praised the small market town for its diverse high street and stunning scenery. It is the smallest winner in the award's history. The historic and interesting town of Tunbridge Wells is only seven miles. Our nearest Station is Frant which is just over four miles away. Guest access Guests are free to walk/sit in the gardens and fields. During the summer there is access to the pool and hot tub by prior arrangement.
