Description
A quaint 16th century, thatched cottage with foundations from 1350. This modest cottage formed the greater part of an original Guildhall. It has been lovingly maintained and furnished to a very high standard. Downstairs comprises of a cosy sitting room, separate dining room, a kitchen with breakfast bar and a downstairs utility / toilet. Upstairs holds a double bedroom and a second bedroom with two single beds, and a lovely bathroom with toilet. Two village pubs are found within a 5 min walk! The space It's a small, rustic cottage that has a generous gravel driveway with plenty of safe, off-road parking. There are two bedrooms, a sitting room, dining room and a kitchen diner. There's a toilet utility downstairs and a bathroom with toilet upstairs. Gardens front and rear with mature lawns and borders. Guest access You have the entire home and all the gardens. Other things to note Excellent location! The village is just over a mile or so from the beautiful country town of Bury St Edmunds. The small and quaint village itself has two excellent family-friendly pubs that serve food. I especially recommend the Beehive pub with its old world charm and English hospitality. Opposite is the 1800 acre national trust trust property of Ickworth House and Park. There aren't many lights in the village, so you can see a star-studded sky on a clear night which is an added bonus!
