Jasper and Smiddy - joint booking

Jasper and Smiddy Cottages sit near each other within a small complex of four cottages in rural Exmoor National Park, and this joint booking sleeps 8 across four bedrooms and three bathrooms in total. The space Jasper Cottage sleeps up to 4 in two bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms and zip-link beds that can be arranged as twin beds or a super-king. External stone steps with a handrail lead up to the entrance, opening straight into a first-floor open-plan living area with wood-burner, dining table and chairs, comfortable seating and kitchen. The bedrooms are on the lower ground floor; one has an en-suite shower room, the other a jack-and-jill bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and basin. Smiddy Cottage, set slightly apart, also sleeps up to 4 in two bedrooms. The entrance opens into an open-plan living and dining room with wood-burner, kitchen and comfortable seating. A ground-floor bedroom has twin beds (or super-king on request), with a jack-and-jill bathroom comprising bath, separate shower, toilet and basin. A spiral staircase leads to a galleried mezzanine with a double bed overlooking the living area. Both kitchens are well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, toaster, kettle and full cookware, crockery and utensils. Each living area has a smart TV. Bed linen and towels are provided, and guests share access to a communal washing machine and dryer in an external laundry room. Each cottage has its own private patio with picnic bench and BBQ, plus access to a large shared garden and a children's play area with climbing frame, wendy house and picnic table. Parking for two cars is available on the drive beside Smiddy Cottage, with ample parking near Jasper Cottage. Dogs are welcome, up to two well-behaved dogs per cottage (maximum four across the booking), for an additional GBP 20 per dog. WiFi and up to GBP 20 of heating and electricity are included per cottage. A cot, high chair and stair gates are available on request.
