SunnySide - Cottage w/ Pen Bay Views in Bayside

Welcome to Sunny Side Cottage, in the heart of Merithew Square in historic Bayside! This Victorian Cottage has been lovingly restored, combining coastal charm with modern amenities for a memorable and comfortable stay. Boasting a large, wrap around porch and a second floor balcony, you will always find the perfect spot to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or watch the working bay hum along. Located 4 minutes from the Northport Yacht Club, don't miss your chance to enjoy the summer in Maine! The space SunnySide is prominently nestled amongst the cottages of Bayside, overlooking the bay. Bayside is a cozy community with neighbors close by on all sides. Upon arrival you will see Sunnyside with a sweet public “library” in the front yard. After driving around the one way road, you will be able to park in the one parking spot in front of the garage doors. Please note, this space is tight and doesn’t accommodate oversized vehicles well. The front entrance is just up from the driveway. Go up the steps and the front door is to the right of the stairs. A smart lock allows for easy access. Once inside you can open the living room sliding glass doors and the large double doors at the opposite end of the house. The first floor is all open space, with a living room with TV, dining room and fully stocked kitchen. The first floor also includes a full bathroom and a peaceful sitting area with a couch that turns into a full sized bed. Upstairs are the two bedrooms. The primary bedroom has a king sized bed and the second bedroom has a queen sized bed. The primary bedroom opens through glass sliding doors to a large beautiful balcony overlooking Penobscot Bay. This is the perfect place to enjoy coffee or play a game with the family! The second full bathroom is on the second floor and contains the only bathtub. (Note- there are no TVs in the bedrooms.) Note: There is a washer and dryer available but it is located in the garage/basement. Guests will need to exit the house and access it via the door on the side of the garage. This is a standard Maine garage/basement with a pea stone floor and lower ceilings but the machines work great and there is a dehumidifier that runs 24/7 as well as a heat pump! Note: as of September 2025 the house is equipped with heat pumps that control both heat and AC. Each bedroom has their own unit as well as the downstairs. Note: Additional parking can be found next to Merithew Square. Parking is generally tight throughout Bayside so fewer cars is best! Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home and outdoor space. There is one parking spot available in the driveway (it cannot accommodate more than one car). There is parking available at times just up the street at Merithew Square. Guests do not have access to the garage. Other things to note There is a large walking and biking community so feel free to bring a bike or enjoy walking throughout Bayside! Belfast is a short drive away.
