Elf Cup Cottage on the beach

Located on your own beach, the Elf Cup Cottage is a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the majestic views of the Sutil Channel with Cortes Island and the Tantulas mountain range as a backdrop. The Sutil channel, with its nutrient rich water is home to Humpback whales, Killer whales, sea lions and of course a curious harbour seal that calls our beach home. All this can be watched from your own private terrace overlooking the beach. The space The unique custom interior was designed by a Swiss interior designer and built by local Quadra Island craftsmen using locally sourced materials and employing traditional craftsmanship. With ‘less being more’ as the guiding principle the Elf Cup cottage still has all the amenities that you need after enjoying a day out walking along the beach, hiking, golfing or biking. The living room boasts a wood-burning fireplace, kitchenette with chairs and table for meals and seating area. A gas BBQ with utensils allows the Chef to cook and take in the breathtaking view from the terrace. The modern bathroom with shower has plenty of space and light. The sleeping area has one Queen size bed which is a cozy place to relax, read or storm watch through the adjoining window. A second Queen size bed is tucked under the roof in a loft accessible by ladder. For those wanting a bit more adventure, rock climbing, mountain biking, diving and kayaking possible directly from the cottage or a short drive away. We can also provide an e-bike and mountain bike upon request. Guest access The property can be accessed by driving through the gate and holding right and then following the road down to Elf Cup cottage with 2 parking spots. Trailers, RVs, Buses and larger vehicles must be parked at the top due to the steep and tight driveway. The owners live on the property. There is self check-in with electronic locks. Food shopping, gas station and bank are only 10 minutes away from the cottage The cottage and whole property are a smoke and pet free area.
