The Old Bakery

The former bakery is part of a historic mill complex on the banks of the Thaya River, right in the district capital of Waidhofen an der Thaya. For a long time, flour from the mill next door was processed into bread in these premises. Grain still plays a role here today: on the property, organic craft beer is now brewed, and you can spend relaxing vacation days here – in the countryside, yet with all amenities in close proximity. The space The old bakery is available for your exclusive use. The small building is part of a mill complex that is around 600 years old. On the extensive grounds, you will find your hosts' organic craft brewery and their residential building. The property is very idyllic, directly bordering the Thaya River. Right under the windows, the former mill's factory canal flows. The central yet idyllic location, along with the park-like open spaces, make this accommodation something very special. Guest access In addition to the holiday home, there are many open spaces on the extensive grounds where you can also relax and enjoy nature. You will share these areas with your hosts and possibly also with customers of the brewery. Other things to note Please note that the riverbank is not secured by fences or other measures—especially if you are traveling with children. There may be delivery and customer traffic in parts of the grounds. The old bakery is a historic building that can be reached via a few steps. Inside the building, there are also a few steps between the living and sleeping areas.
