Separate entrances. Close to lakes . Grocery/gas -2miles. We are a beautifully landscaped in- home country B&B with a separate second story efficiency apartment. At ground level we have a large patio space, patio furniture , gas grill for cookouts as well as acres of lawn and fields for a leisurely walk . Our well groomed lawns make it a perfect place for a game of Frisbee or a great place to exercise your dog. There is more than ample room for parking in our circular drive. Guests have two separate entrances to their efficiency apartment, back deck , common area of a lovely brick patio with grill for cookouts and acres of lawn for stretching out and just relaxing with room for the whole family. Living on the premises gives us a direct advantage to always be available for our guests. You will be greeted with a warm welcome by either Dave or Shirley upon arrival. Conversation with Dave during our breakfast hour is encouraged while Shirley prepares a delicious meal. A friendly nighttime gathering around the campfire gives our guests the opportunity to relax and chat with us and other guests while listening to a nearby barred owl or possibly a coyote answering the call of the full moon. "It truly is worth the ride to the countryside". We are only 1 mile from the main highway, yet in a country setting close to grocery , gas stations, and family friendly restaurants . A large array of shopping choices is only 15 - 20mins. away in our capital of Augusta. An antique shoppers' paradise, in the town of Hallowell, lends itself to an eclectic atmosphere of pubs and eateries known for their home brews. Local taxi service is available as well as car rentals at the Portland Jetport and Augusta State Airport if you are flying in. Being located in the center of the Winthrop Lakes Region, many of our guest come to visit friends and family who summer on one of many lakes in the area. We are also just five minutes away from the well known (Shakespearean )Monmouth Theatre that brings back many returning patrons for first class summer and fall productions.
