Surrounded by apple orchards, forest trails, and Himalayan views, it’s the perfect blend of simplicity, comfort, and nature’s poetry. Large glass windows bring the outdoors in, filling the room with sunlight by day and the hush of stars by night. Breathe in the mountain air from your peaceful corner, sip warm drinks by the window, or wander through pine-lined paths. And when hunger calls, our in-house café serves wholesome meals, from French press coffee to nourishing homely meals, all made with fresh, local ingredients. Item choice isn’t customizable.* - Please Note: • Check-in: 1:30 PM | Check-out: 11:00 AM • Outside food not allowed in rooms or café • 📺 No TVs – just birdsong, trees, and tranquility • Water supply can freeze in deep winter — if pipes freeze, buckets of hot & cold water will be provided - Accessibility & Reaching Us: • Kalgha is road accessible • First reach Barshaini Dam • From Barshaini, we can share a local cab driver’s number who can drop you directly to the property (additional charge paid to driver) • Small cars (like Alto 800), 4x4 Vehicles, and 2 wheelers usually come comfortably; in heavy snow or due to black ice in winters, vehicle access may vary. If needed, we can also help arrange local porters for luggage assistance at an additional charge. - Heating Policy (Important) • Apple Cottage is a pinewood property. When wood is exposed to continuous direct heat, it can sometimes release natural oils and fumes, which is unsafe and can damage the structure. • Therefore, we do NOT provide room heaters. Instead, for your comfort in winters, we provide electric heating mattresses on beds and extra blankets on request. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the entire Apple Cottage. You’re also welcome to enjoy our in-house café, common garden areas, and designated bonfire spaces. Other things to note • Kalgha is a high-altitude mountain village, and during deep winter the water supply may freeze. If the pipes freeze, we will provide buckets of hot and cold water to ensure your comfort. • The road to Kalgha is currently under development and is close to completion, but it is not yet fully paved. We can share an experienced local cab driver’s number who can drop you directly to the property (additional charge paid to driver) • 4x4 vehicles, two-wheelers, and small/light cars (like Alto 800) can usually drive directly up to The Hidden Treasure. • Larger vehicles or low-ground-clearance cars may not be able to reach the property. In that case, you can park at the free public parking area in Kalgha village and walk from there. It is a scenic 15–20 minute uphill walk through the village to reach us. If required, we can help arrange local porters for luggage assistance at an additional charge. • We strongly recommend arriving before sunset for a smoother experience in the mountains.
