Podere Rinascidentro

Description

Located directly on the EROICA CYCLING PATH and the STRADE BIANCHE (White Roads); 6 km from the RAPOLANO SPA, immersed in the poetic beauty of Italy. Harmony, Simplicity, Time Slowed by Tranquility, and Serenity are the ingredients of that Sacred Beauty that a vacation should reawaken in the Spirit. We have intentionally preserved the rustic soul and the appreciation for harmony among things: the rooms have been designed to evoke the healthy daily life of times gone by. Relax... The space The Farmhouse was built in the 10th century as a watchtower to control access between the Val d'Orcia and the Sienese territories, both from the Crete Senesi and from the roads that from Arezzo reached Siena and beyond (the view embraces a vast territory between Siena, Grosseto and Pisa). From 1260, after the Battle of Montaperti cited by Dante in the Divine Comedy, and which took place 2 km from the Podere, the entire area was purchased by the Piccolomini family (including 2 Popes: Pius II and Pius III and a Venerable, born Bianca Maria Piccolomini, who among other things lived in the 20th century within the walls of the Casale, and whose life is being examined by the Vatican Commission called by Pope Francis, for the cause of Beatification). Inside, there is a natural spring diverted in 1480 into a large covered washhouse inside the Property. The ancient cellar was an Etruscan tomb on an older path, now disappeared, which however in its original path crossed the hall (once also used as a stable). The thousand-year-old perimeter walls of the tower are visible in almost all their original structure inside the Farmhouse. The upper hall preserves, although restored, a hidden kitchen, typical of the Risorgimento period (with a large fireplace for cooking and indeed a sink with a worktop inserted between the walls of the room with two wooden doors that covered its features and the small pantry). The bread oven outside, still in perfect working order today, which stands outside the Casolare, is from the 19th century, as is the adjacent barn. The Casolare has been restored several times, also between the 20th and 21st centuries, trying to leave its history and millenary imprint as visible as possible. The flooring of many rooms, in particular, is almost 600 years old. The environment deserves a lot of respect, and we ask our Guests to have absolute consideration for it. We remain available for the curiosity of those who stay there, given that many well-known historical events have occurred in the adjacent lands. Sometimes ancient rural objects and other types still emerge from the land, of which we will be happy to tell the story, use, and ownership to those most interested. For this reason too, we ask Guests, upon their arrival, for a deposit of 300.00** euros that we will return immediately upon departure, after having verified that there has been no damage to the structure and objects inside and outside of it by those who stayed there. Some evenings in the structure of the Forno called "del Pane Santo" it is customary (optional of course) among us, to sit down to recite that Holy Rosary that the Venerable Bianca Maria Piccolomini, recited here together with the poor farmers of the area, before giving them freshly baked bread, and that she herself, asked that the custom be continued, to the owners who purchased the Estate. The proceeds from the sale of the land and the Podere allowed the construction in Siena of an Orphanage and other charitable works. **The rental contract for a holiday home, the so-called tourist rental contract, is governed, like other forms of rental, by Article 1571 et seq. of the Civil Code, but unlike other types of contracts, it does not provide for the obligation to pay a deposit or a caution. However, if a caution is established at the choice and discretion of the contracting parties, the owner may retain this sum at the end of the duration of the contract as compensation for any damage to the property or for the payment of utilities, if these are not included in the rental price and remain unpaid. Article 1587 of the Civil Code, however, requires the tenant to maintain the rental property in the same conditions in which it was delivered and exclusively for the agreed use. Therefore, he cannot decline responsibility and will be required to pay the relevant compensation if the damage caused is estimated to be greater than the caution paid, upon request of the landlord. It is therefore necessary to stipulate a contract between the parties which, if it does not exceed 30 days, has no obligation to register. The tourist rental contract must be drawn up in written form under penalty of nullity, pursuant to Law 09 December 1998, n. 431 and must contain all the conditions and data relating to the property and the contractors, as well as the amount of the rent (and any deposit or caution paid), the expenses included or excluded in the price (electricity, gas, condominium, cleaning, etc.), the terms of delivery and the times established for the return of the keys. Other things to note The owner's family has private accommodations within the property; therefore, some areas are shared with the owners. The term "rental and stay of the entire property" therefore refers exclusively to the bedrooms, not the entire property. Breakfast is served in the lounges every day from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Guests may request an external room cleaning service during their stay (for example, every 3-7 days), but this costs an additional fee per room, determined by the company requested directly by the guests. Beach towels are €5.00 each if requested at the property. In the Facility lives a nice, Gascon and sleepy Labrador named Nerone with his white friend Pepe. For rent and stay of the entire property, therefore, we mean exclusively the rental for the "exclusive" stay of the only bedrooms in full, and not of the property understood as in its entirety. You can use the Rooms present to have breakfast every day from 8:00 am to 10:00 am.
