The Magnolia Room is a large, sunny upstairs room with king-sized bed and a twin day bed. This room has a view of our huge magnolia trees and is decorated in oak fixtures, winged-back chairs and botanical prints. The spacious bathroom is located across the hall and is a Private Bath. We’re conveniently located near Sapelo Island (one of Georgia’s most distinctive barrier islands), historic Fort King George, the oldest European fort in Georgia, and Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation, a restored 19th century rice plantation. Open Gates is also very accessible to many wildlife viewing areas including the Altamaha Wildlife Management Area, Okefenokee Swamp and Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge.
