Sied yr Ardd is a detached, cabin-style cottage next to our home on the edge of the village of Ystradgynlais. Yr Sied sleeps two adults in one double bedroom. There is a shower room, an open plan living area with a kitchenette, dining and sitting area. There is also a large garden room with a wood burner, an off-road parking space plus a patio big enough for a BBQ. This is an ideal base for couples looking to get away from the hustle and bustle and discover the splendour of South Wales. Other things to note Ystradgynlais is a historic mining and industrial town located at the top of the Swansea Valley, on the edge of the stunning Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. It is home to a thriving selection of independently owned shops, coffee shops and restaurants. The area offers easy access to the surrounding natural beauty. The mountains rise up into the expansive Bannau Brycheiniog, providing endless opportunities for outdoor activities, including walking and cycling, with routes extending in all directions. The valley is also famous for its beautiful waterfalls, including those in the nearby Waterfall Country, offering scenic and tranquil spots for exploration. To the south, a contrasting landscape unfolds, with Swansea Bay, The Mumbles, and The Gower offering picturesque beaches, including Rhossili Bay, widely regarded as one of the best beaches in the world.
