The space Escape to our charming tiny house near Talon Lake in Bonfield, Ontario, set on a private 1 acre property surrounded by nature. This cozy retreat offers a loft bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a three-piece bathroom, and a comfortable living area with TV and Starlink Internet. Relax in the outdoor hot tub or gather around the gazebo fire table for stargazing and storytelling. Perfectly located for adventure, our property is close to snowmobiling trails and ice fishing in the winter, and boating and beaches in the summer. Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park is a 10 minute drive from the property which offers many hiking, canoeing and wildlife viewing opportunities. Antoine Mountain in Mattawa is a 28 minute drive from the property for skiing and snowboarding. Visit Talon Lake Marina for boat, canoe and pontoon rentals or the public boat launch just 500m from the property for days on the water. Paddleboards are available at the property for use at the nearby boat launch. For dining and amenities, North Bay is just a short drive away. Whether you’re seeking tranquility or outdoor thrills, this is your ideal all-season getaway. Other things to note The sleeping and reading lofts are accessed by ladders which may not be suitable for all guests. Due to space constraints, we request only pets under 25 lbs join you for your stay. In the winter months, the entrance and deck are regularly shovelled, but due to the unpredictability of weather there might be some shovelling for tiny house or hot tub access. The fire pit is available for guest use, however guests are expected to bring their own fire wood and kindling. Firewood is available for purchase for $10 from the neighbour across the road. The fire pit is not shovelled in the winter months. The large lot allows additional guests (2 maximum) to camp in tents for a fee of $25/guest. One inflatable paddleboard is available for rent for $25 for the duration of your stay. Please inquire for rental instructions. Due to space constraints, the hot water tank is relatively small. Please allow 20-30 minutes between showers for hot water tank to recharge.
