Description

Smaller, older and cozy hostel in the heart of Sejerø, only 300 meters from the cozy ferry and yacht harbor. The hostel is rented as private rooms and not as single beds. Please note that the price is per room with up to 2 people. The hostel has 8 double rooms and accommodates a maximum of 18 guests at a time. There is a shared kitchen and shared bathroom and toilet facilities. Note: If you want to book more rooms, you must complete a booking for each room. The space The rented part of the hostel is refurbished in bright colors, but has a touch of the authenticity back from its time as a hostel. There is plenty of space for the big family (or several families) if you want to rent all 8 rooms at once. When you step through the door, you clearly feel that time is set back to your own childhood and that there is a place for presence and togetherness with your loved ones. There is the possibility of accessing 2 other rooms and 7 extra bedrooms (16 extra beds) by agreement with the landlord and for an additional cost. NOTE that there is a renovation in progress in the hostel's side building and the courtyard environment may therefore appear messy and with building materials. Less than 300 meters from the property is the island's best beach, harbor, church and shopping in Brugsen. Guest access Courtyard (under reconstruction). Other things to note As there is currently construction in the hostel's courtyard, this and the associated facilities are unfortunately not available. Fishing trip with the hostel as a base. Go fishing with friends on scenic Sejerø and experience the authentic island "vibe" and tranquility. The island is 11 km from tip to tip and 1.5 km wide at the widest point of the island. The island offers many fantastic fishing spots and the short distances make it possible to find shelter regardless of the weather. The waters The waters around Sejerø offer the finest edible fish found in Denmark, including turbot, sole, mullet, stone biters, trout, plaice, cod, scrub, mackerel and garfish. There are many who practice fly fishing with great enthusiasm on Sejerø's coast, and they often get a wonderful fight with a piece of silver clothing. Gniben Gniben is the official name for the northern tip of the island. A steep slope and a beautiful yellow lighthouse form the backdrop for the perfect fishing reef. The reef stretches far out, and on a calm day you can wade several hundred meters out and fish the deeper water on both sides. Here is strong current, large rocks, mussel banks and everything you can dream of on such a reef. The southern reef The southern reef is a long shore that stretches several kilometers into the sea. The bottom is mostly pure sand, so it is primarily a flat fishing spot, and you can also catch them nicely from the shore without wading anywhere. Lerskrænten The clay slope is a wonderful place – especially for fly fishing. If the wind is in the west, which it often is, there is a nice shelter under the east-facing slopes. The beach is rocky, and a long seaweed belt runs along the land with sand on the outside. A perfect little sea trout area, which is brilliantly covered with fishing gear. Note that the area is a breeding ground for the sand martin. Incidentally, one of the only places it breeds in clay slopes in Denmark. Therefore, the beach is protected from April 15 to August 1. Skagelse Hug and Eskebjerg Hug Skagelse Hug and Eskebjerg Hug are the two places where there is the deepest water under the coast. They can be good sea trout spots, but it is also here that the chances of coastal cod are best. I never forget an evening in my youth when the two-kilo cods lined up to bite on our jigs and small hooks here. Unfortunately, there is no parking close to these places, so they involve a short walk. Bellevue Bellevue is the nickname for the island's most child-friendly beach, but it is also the island's most sandworm-friendly beach. Here you can always dig up some worms for flatfish if the waves are not too high. Havnemolerne The harbor mills are, of course, also places worth trying. There is deep water nearby, and you can catch cod, flounder, trout, garfish and even mullet here. If you have children with you, it's a good place to catch crabs. Remember to check where it is allowed to fish from. Golf trips with the hostel as a base Take a golf trip with your friends on scenic Sejerø and experience the authentic island "vibe" and tranquility. Sejerø Hostel is the perfect starting point for you and your friends when you want to enjoy golf and nature trips. The island's golf course is located humbly, smiling and inviting in Sejerø's beautiful nature. The course is located in a hilly terrain with a varied hole course and has a fantastic view of the Sejerø Bay and the sailing route from Storebælt to Kattegat. Sejerø is generally very hilly and has more than 40 hills, which are commonly called mountains. Sejerø has therefore been nicknamed the island of the mountains. The course is an experience and when, in good weather, you walk the course that is laid around the protected burial mound Stenkishøj, you can see over Kattegat and glimpse Samsø, Sjællandsodde and Kalundborg.
