Relax and enjoy the serenity, we are excited to be able to share the experience of country living in a private setting . The Killingworth Station farmhouse is on our 240 acre working farm on a quiet sealed road a few kilometres outside of the popular rural village of Yea. The perfect setting to get away from it all or take advantage of the many things to do in the region from wineries, the great Victorian rail trail, wetlands centre, Lake Eildon and so much more. The space The farmhouse has incredible views of the Goulburn River valley. It is overlooked by the heritage listed ruins of the original Killingworth Station homestead built in 1860 in the adjacent paddock. The farmhouse has been fully renovated with modern appliances and fittings. It has four bedrooms with king bed in the master bedroom, 2 queen bed guest rooms and the bunk room with 6 single beds. 1.5 bathrooms with 2 toilets, full laundry and open plan living with wood fire. Outside there is a huge vine covered al fresco paved dining and entertaining space with wood fired pizza oven and open fireplace surrounded by lawns and country garden. The verandahs boast views of the valley, lie back on the day bed and watch the cattle graze in the paddocks below whilst the sun sets over the ruins. Guest access Guests have full and exclusive use of the farmhouse, outdoor areas and gardens with a private entrance to the farm. It is a working farm and you will be able to view farm activities in the paddocks you can see from the house and gardens. There is a cosy wood fire in the house for the cooler months and outside you have a wood fired pizza oven and open fire place, there is a set supply of firewood provided as part of your stay.
