Completed in 2013, the Guesthouse perfectly complements the 1871 Victorian home to which it is attached. Located on Main Street in historic Vergennes, Vermont, our home is one of several fine examples of the architecture of the 19th Century that grace our City. Our thriving downtown is a short walk away, boasting exceptional dining and shopping opportunities. Vergennes is a 20-minute drive away from Middlebury College, and 45 minutes from Burlington. The space We have wi-fi access for your use during your stay, and you'll find the kitchen ready for you to whip up a meal. Remember, we're close by and happy to provide you with anything you might need to make your stay more comfortable. The Guesthouse was constructed above a garage, and can only be accessed by stairs. Likewise, the two bedrooms, each with queen size bed, are located on the second floor of the structure. Guest access The Guesthouse is located on the original homestead of Herrick Stevens which includes the main home and the original carriage house - now converted to apartments. We invite you to stroll through our gardens and enjoy the serenity of small town living. We share our home with borzois Scarlett and Rika, and Hetty King, our tiny Chihuahua. Other things to note Vergennes is the perfect location for your Vermont getaway. The Guesthouse is the ideal base camp for leaf peepers, and we’re within an hour’s drive of some of the finest ski areas in the country. PLEASE NOTE: the stairs to the sleeping area are of a unique spiral design. These may be difficult for some persons to navigate. Likewise, we provide an ice maker and a cooler upon request, but there is no freezer in the guesthouse. We are able to hold items in our freezer when requested.
