This spacious and peaceful home is located just 1.5 hours south of Hokitika, 15 minutes drive from Franz Josef Glacier and 10 minutes drive to Okarito beach. It's the ideal base camp to explore the wild West Coast. The space The Forks is a spacious 200 sqm (2150 sq ft) home, located in a tranquil forest setting. With 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, 2 lounges and a large open-plan kitchen with dining area, it’s perfect for relaxation. The sunroom (2nd lounge) offers a library and cozy sofa bed for unwinding. Bedrooms have a Super-King bed with en-suite bathroom and a TV. Ideal for groups, families and couples to enjoy outdoor activities like Frisbee golf, Croquet, and a selection of board games. We typically arrange for couples, but can set up King-Single beds on request. If your group exceeds 6 and you need the sofa bed, please let us know and it can be set up. We accommodate up to 8 guests and provide a cot (crib) and a high chair on request for families with children. With free Wi-Fi, on-site laundry, and two outdoor patios, plus a unique bush bath for stargazing, the retreat offers everything you need for a peaceful getaway. Guest access Guests have full, private access to the entire house, including ample parking and a big backyard with covered outdoor areas. Other things to note Please note there is no cell phone reception in this area, we offer free Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi calling (if supported by your device). There are nearby shops, restaurants and fuel 15 minutes drive away in either Franz Josef or Whataroa.
