Our off-grid studio is set on 125 acres of farmland, overlooking the stunning Strezlecki hills. The studio is located in the heart of South Gippsland on a dead end road close to the towns of Korumburra, Loch and Meeniyan. Perfect for nature lovers, couples or solo travellers looking for a weekend escape to relax, recharge & explore Gippsland's treasures. A perfect base to explore further with Wilsons Prom and Phillip Island less than an hour away and 30 mins to Inverloch beaches. The space The studio is a minimalist space yet warm and inviting. It’s fitted with quality furniture and equipped with many conveniences for your comfort. Situated at the property's shed site it provides guests with separation and privacy from the main house which is located past the studio at the end of the drive. (Note the main driveway runs past the studio) What we love about our spot is being surrounded by endless rolling green hills, the changing weather systems and cloud formations, extraordinary sunsets, the magnificence of the milky way on clear nights, the abundance of wildlife including kangaroos, koalas, echidnas and our wedge-tailed eagles. Our aim is to provide a space where guests can switch off and enjoy a peaceful environment and stunning views. We have lots of recommendations in our guestbook for you to discover. We provide complimentary muesli, milk, bread and local honey plus basic pantry staples. Please be mindful we're located up on the hills and can get strong winds which can be noisy at times. The studio features - An adjustable (remote controlled) queen size bed and orthopaedic mattress, perfect for stargazing or to take in views of the surrounding rolling hills - Quality linen and Dream Remedy Latex medium profile pillows in addition to extra standard pillows - A 43 inch smart TV and sound bar with Netflix enabled (no tv channels but streaming available with your own account login) - A small, high performance wood fire heats the space really well and is all set up with kindling and firewood ready for you to light and enjoy. We provide a 30 litre tub of firewood and extra wood can be purchased for a small fee ($20 for 30 litre tub). Note you can only use the wood provided as it’s suitable for this woodfire and is cut to size. - Block out blinds for a good night's sleep and screening blinds for privacy allowing enjoyment of the views - Two seater sofa with soft linen cushioning to snuggle up to with a book (we provide a selection of books and board games) - Reverse cycle heating and cooling - Starlink wi-fi available providing a reliable connection for streaming or working from the studio - A workstation is available on request for work or creative pursuits (stand up desk, monitor, keyboard, mouse, conference speaker and ergonomic office chair) - A modern ensuite bathroom featuring heated floor, spacious walk in shower and luxurious bathrobes and towels for your comfort - A small kitchenette within the studio space is equipped with microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, crockery, glassware, cutlery & utensils. It is stocked with basic pantry staples including tea, coffee, olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt & pepper, herbs. Note the space is not equipped for cooking with a stovetop or conventional oven. - An outdoor space is set up with bbq, picnic table and fire pit (outside of fire bans). The bbq has a side burner which is suitable for cooking meals. - The entry via the back of the studio also serves as a utility room equipped with full sized fridge/freezer, washing machine and sink. It is stocked with bbq basics such as foil, foil trays, tongs, a frying pan, a wok, salad spinner & kitchen towels. The fridge is stocked with cold filtered water, fresh milk, butter, yoghurt, tomato sauce, mustard and vegemite. Recycling and general waste bins are provided - We’re eco friendly and totally off grid. We are powered from solar panels that charge batteries with a back up diesel generator. In winter and only during continuous days of no sun, the generator may kick-in which gives off a low hum while it’s charging the batteries. - Our water tank is dual filtered and safe to drink - We have a flushing toilet Guest access Entire studio and designated outdoor bbq area. Other things to note Getting around There is no public transport to and from the nearest towns you will need your own vehicle.
