Description
Located on the second floor of the Villa, in the part originally used as a farm, this large suite is characterized by an authentic peasant architecture made of intimate and welcoming spaces reinterpreted in a contemporary key through the use of furnishings and complementary architectural elements. The Suite is accessed from the east part of the villa through an ancient local marble staircase contained by two handmade brick walls expertly cleaned and treated with natural waxes. The staircase leads to a large living room with an original nineteenth-century exposed roof with glimpses of light coming from the hill above. Three double bedrooms with exclusive bathroom, a kitchen, a study overlook the living room and, through a hallway, you can directly access the olive grove and two small terraces for exclusive use. All rooms are characterized by the exposed roof - original nineteenth century - in chestnut beams and terracotta bricks. The walls of the Suite are made with pure natural lime coarse-grained plasters interspersed with parts of new smooth-smooth masonry, colors in natural lands. The floors are in solid oak. The furnishings are exclusively designed. In the large living room, a steel and elm wood fireplace occupies an entire wall, a three-seater sofa and a 60's American-made chaise lounge complete the furnishings. On the ceiling there is a Venini chandelier from the 1950s. All the rooms of the Suite have double-warped chestnut wood ceilings and terracotta bricks. A long restoration and consolidation work allowed the maintenance of the original structures. Three double bedrooms each with a bathroom: the two bedrooms to the south have a beautiful sea view, one of which, on the corner, frames the neighboring hills to the east with vineyards. This room has a study with sofa bed for exclusive use. Particular attention was paid to the internal architecture of the bathrooms with the use of marble from the Apuan Alps in large slabs and hollowed-out sinks. Period rugs and a collection of authentic prints from various eras complete the equipment. At guests' disposal a kettle with a kit of tea and coffee and cups. Follow by EmailFacebookGoogle + Twitter
