Mystic, beaches, history! Minutes from the Navy base, the Coast Guard Academy, Connecticut College, train station to NYC, Ferry to Long Island or Block Island. Mohegan Sun Casino is nearby, Foxwoods Casino 25 minute drive. Easy street parking or in my driveway. Safe quiet neighborhood and a lovely private backyard. From NYC you can take the Metro North train to New Haven, there get on Shoreline East train to New London. It is a 3.5 hr trip. Amtrak is faster but costs more. I have a shy cat. The space The air conditioned 2nd floor bedroom is a nice size with a small office space available. It has a queen bed and a single bed both with comfortable mattresses. There is a Kurig coffee machine, small refrigerator, TV with Netflix, HBO, Apple TV, but NO cable. The room has a private toilet and sink bathroom; you’ll share the first floor shower with just me. My yard is not fancy but so sweet and colorful with summertime flowers. Very relaxing! Guest access Feel free to make coffee or tea in my kitchen but there is a Kurig in the room. You may use the microwave or heat food on the stove, make sandwiches, but I’m not comfortable with full meal cooking because I’m here a lot. You can use my refrigerator if necessary but there’s a small one in your room. If you use cups, plates, silverware, AOK, but put them in the dishwasher as I like to sanitize things, rather than hand washing dishes. Thank you. During your stay I can offer ideas for getting around, restaurants, music and entertainment in the area. I am happy to make you some coffee or tea. Come and go as you please as I am not bothered by you staying out late or checking in late. Other things to note Park on the street or in the drive. I'll let you know if I'm leaving early in the morning so you can park in first. The room is upstairs. I have a shy cat, Mazie and she can go outside. Feel free to feed her.
