The closest lift is a Ruka Express and the Gondola a 5 minute walk from the chalet. Ski bus 150 m. - Childrens area and slopes 250 m. - You can move around the mountainarea with the Ski Bus (150 m from Villa Saarua). - Kuusamo airport is 20 kilometers from the chalet. The airport can be reached by bus or taxi. Oulu Airport is 250 kms and Rovaniemi Airport 200 km from Ruka. - Nearest restaurants are Royski, Ski Bistro, Colorado Express and Restaurant Ruka Peak. They are all within walking distance. - The main crosscountryskiing, hike and bike trails go right by the chalet. - The chalet is very close to where the wilderness starts (the forest and fells in the wilderness starts 350m from the house). - Vuosselin Portti by the house has a fully equipped rental shop and ski pass sales point. You can also buy ski passess on the internet (cheaper if you buy them a few days before). There is free WLAN in the chalet. Guest access The whole chalet is private only for you. Other things to note - Smoking is strictly forbidden also at the entrance and on the terrace since the smoke goes into the ventilation system - No shoes inside, thank you - Minimum age to book is 23 years -For your convenience, it is possible to rent bed linen and towels for your stay. Please let us know well in advance if you want to rent them since we need to order them from the cleaning company in advance - Also final cleaning and cleaning during your stay is possible to buy from the cleaning company. Final cleaning can also be done by yourself. We always check the house after each guest. - It is not allowed to bring a bubble pool to the yard Villa Saarua by the Slopes and our two other cottages Ruka View at the Slopes and Aurora Sky by the Slopes are owned by us, a small family. The cottages are made of authentic Lapland log in large framework and all houses have a stylish interior with a great ambience. The location of the villas are perfect, all are ski in, by all services and also the wilderness. We love spending time outdoors in the wilderness trail running, hiking, biking, swimming, crosscountryskiing, snowboarding, skiing, canoeing, camping etc and Ruka offers great possibilities for all of this and more.
