Description
An Enjoy England 4-star Gold Award, Grade II listed quaint Cornish cottage. Built from local granite, with beautiful views of the sea and the local mining heritage. Original features can still be found in the cottage such as a large inglenook fireplace in the sitting room. There are two cosy bedrooms, sleeping a total of 3 guests. The front bedroom has a King-size bed complete with a luxury Hypnos mattress. The smaller back bedroom has a single divan bed with a pocket sprung mattress. The space There is a wood burning stove in the sitting room, as well as a fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom has a roll-top bath and a separate shower. All bed linen, towels and complementary locally hand-made soap are provided. There is free internet and free on-street parking right outside the cottage. We welcome pets, but charge an additional £35 per pet, per stay. Niver Dew Cottage is the perfect base for exploring the beautiful far Southwest of Cornwall. Some of the UK’s most breath-taking coastline is right on our doorstep. Niver Dew cottage is located within the village of Pendeen on Cornwall’s Atlantic coast, in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), between St Ives and St Just. The village is a former mining community and a visit to Geevor Tin Mine Museum is a must-see if you are wanting to explore the area’s distinct past and its heritage. Pendeen has a traditional Cornish pub, serving a wide range of homemade food and a well-stocked village shop all within easy walking distance from Niver Dew Cottage. Portherras Cove is a beautiful sandy beach that can be reached on foot via the Southwest coastal footpath from the cottage. One of the most beautiful drives in England, is the road leading from Pendeen to St Ives. The well-known Lands-End and the long, sandy Sennen beach that is popular with surfers are only a short drive away. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cottage. Other things to note There is on street parking outside the cottage for approximately 4/5 cars, and further street parking on the roads along from the cottage. There is also a free car park a few minutes walk away. N.B Please DO NOT park in the driveway of No.1 property. Pets are allowed in the cottage but they are not permitted upstairs or on the sofa or furniture. There is a £35 extra fee per pet. A log-burning starter kit, consisting of a few logs and kindling wood are provided to allow you to light the wood-burning stove when you arrive. Additional bags of logs for use during the rest of your stay can be purchased from the local shop.
