Nature cottage the Twadde Hûske

The Twadde Hûske is a lovely apartment with underfloor heating which can be booked for 2 to 6 people (read the ad for details). Het Twadde Hûske has a soothing view over the meadows with a nice terrace. The Twadde Hûske is the most complete Airbnb you can find, are you coming to try this? 🏡 The space Welcome! The Twadde Hûske has been open since April 2025. It has a new kitchen, bathroom, underfloor heating, mobile air conditioning (available in the summer months) and brand new furniture. This ground floor apartment is decorated with a lot of love and care and equipped with the last fun, hip, colorful living trends. Bedroom: The apartment features 1 separate bedroom with a 180×200 bed and 220×240 duvet and a wardrobe (incl. clothes hangers). There are darkened curtains. An additional fan is provided in the summer months. On request, there is an additional folding mattress available for a possible fifth guest, suitable for example when you are passing through and staying 1 night. There is no window in the bedroom (yet) which can open, only a ventilation grill in one of the windows. The bedroom therefore features an extra air purifier. Don't expect a soundproof bedroom, the interior walls are made of wood, so you can hear any fellow guests well (only after half a year of hosting the first note about this, but wants to mention it anyway). Earplugs are provided. Bathroom: There is a bathroom with toilet, shower cabin, sink, towels, washcloths and hairdryer. You will also find the washing machine+ a drying rack here. The use of the washing machine including supplies is included in your stay. Kitchen: The kitchen is equipped with a 2-burner stove, air fryer, dolce gusto coffee machine, kettle, small(!) fridge(with mini freezer compartment), plenty of inventory for 4 people. Living room: The living room has a round 4-person dining table, a two-person sofa bed(is quite hard, there is therefore an extra topper available) and a TV (on which you can only stream with the chromecast present). Wi-Fi is available. Extras just for you: In addition to the cozy homey atmosphere with lots of greenery, everything is available to make it as easy/delightful as possible for you; the double bed is made up on arrival, lungo coffee cups, tea, sugar, milk powder, sweeteners, kitchen linen, kitchen roll, garbage bags, cling film, sandwich bags, first aid kit, oil, pepper/salt, spices, toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, soap, shower gel, towels, washcloths, shampoo, deodorant, hair dryer, bathrobes, perfume, scent diffuser with essential oil, homemade natural detergent and natural fabric softener. But also all kinds of games, books and magazines. Kids: For the little ones, there is plastic cutlery and crockery, spout cup available. There is also a camping bed (+ duvet and pillow from IKEA and bedding) and a play mat available on request. The high chair, changing mat, (outdoor) toys are always available. Yard: Outside there is a seat with 2 lounge chairs, table, parasol and picnic table. There is no door screen yet so it is wise in the summer months to keep the outside door closed against flies/mosquitoes. There is anti mosquito repellent in the bathroom drawer. Don't expect a tightly maintained terrace, this is a conscious choice because a lot of this weeds are good for biodiversity and this gives the "nature"cottage in my view extra charm:) The apartment is located next to theZethuisje (see other listing). Both accommodations are located at the front of a farmyard, on a private road (so no general traffic) overlooking the meadows, both have their own garden, parking space and are closed from the inside. The apartment is adjacent to the utility room of the other house, so you will hear little each other. What can be done (with children) around the Twadde Hûske? Well, hold on... a lot! Free outings; - Right in front of the door is the hiking/nature reserve Marumlage. - Mazepark @dedwalerbakkeveen - OERR nature playground in Bakkeveen (at @ estatedeslotplaats, which is also a great beautiful place to eat) - Barefoot path with tea garden in Opende - Around the cottage many woods and heath areas. Trimunt, Coendersbos, Jiltdijksheide, Curringheveld, Haarsterbosch. - A little further on, Bakkeveen is really the place to be; with a sandy plain in the middle of the forest and beautiful Duurswouderheide and towards Wijnjewoude even more beautiful hiking and biking trails (including around the Freulevijver). - Also navigate to the nice and beautiful villages such as Appelscha, Roden or Norg. These villages are surrounded by the most beautiful forests and have a cozy center. Paid outings 15 min away; - PostA7 Tolbert; a large entertainment center including restaurant. - Petting zoo and playground @de_naturij Drachten. - Ballorig Drachten - Jump XL Drachten - Level xl in Drachten. - Nienoord Leek estate (indoor swimming pool, play park, but also definitely an option for hiking) - Boat sailing on Lake Leekster - LEGO museum Grootegast - Victorymuseum 1940- 1945 Grootegast - Swimming is possible in summer at Strandheem and the Watermolen (both really around the corner 2 to 3 km). Also there is an outdoor swimming pool in Marum, Wotterwille. Shop offer: - Marum is the closest village where you can find next shops; Albert Heijn, Lidl, bakery, butcher, Hema, Primera, Kruidvat, bike rental Hiemstra, Top1toys, Clothing store Lets Shop, Birrit floral decoration art and more! - Surhuisterveen is also nearby, here you will find a cozy shopping street with the same shops as Marum but also; Scapino, Action, Special&Genieten, Favorites, Sake store, Inez, Zuivelhoeve, Zeeman, Takko, Jumbo, Aldi and much more! Food: Delivered at home is of course an option, but if you want to get away from it, you can place it nearby. Marum: Here are 3 pizzerias(especially suitable for takeaway), snack bar 't Centrum, restaurant De Heerlijkheid and Lunchroom Zuskes. The restaurant at camping De Watermolen is also open to day guests in summer. Surhuizum/Surhuisterveen: Pancake house Landzicht, Kolkzicht, it Stee, De dikke Rotai, the Pyramid. Guest access The Twadde Hûske is attached to the Zethuisje (see other ad). There is a passage from the hallway to the utility room of the Zethuisje which is locked on both sides (this is the door that says "Private" and a room screen in front of it). Both accommodations have a private terrace and parking space including plenty of privacy. You can check in using a lockbox. If you would like a personal check-in, this is of course also possible depending on the time of day, you can always indicate this. Other things to note The apartment has 4 fixed sleeping places (2-person bed in the bedroom and 2-person sofa bed in the living room) but it is possible to use a camping bed and a folding mattress on request to also offer that 5th and (6th small) guest a place. Please note, there is no separate sleeping space for that, so must be added in the bedroom or living room. Non-Smoking: The Twadde Hûske is completely non-smoking, smoking is NOT allowed inside. If I do notice/identify this, I have the right to immediately deny you access to the Twadde Hûske and to charge extra cleaning costs. Pets are not allowed: Animals are NOT allowed in the Twadde Hûske.
