5th Element Rustic African Farm - The Attic
5th Element Rustic African Farm - The Attic
Description
The attic is a quaint room upstairs in a thatched Aframe. Dinner and breakfast are included in the price. The homestead is a rustic farm environment. Anyone is welcome to share our home, fireplace, stories and laughter. The rooms are separate from the main house and share a bathroom between them. Surrounded by trees and birds it is the ideal place to just relax, read, walk, write or paint. The space If you need some time away from urban stresses and influences then this is perfect for you. Surrounded by the African night sounds enjoy your evening meal around the fire place with the stars to guide storytelling. We have limited cell phone signal, wi-fi and no TV. The two rooms and bathroom in the A-Frame (Mi Casa and The Attic), the dining hall and the lapa have electricity. The rondavel (Hobbit House) is solar powered for lighting. It is also built somewhat under the ground from rock with the windows at ground level making the room warm in winter and cool in summer. We have a number of pets ranging from Yorkie to Great Dane which are very much a part of our life. Guest access There is an open outdoor shower in the bamboo forest fed with hot water via a farm style 'donkey' fire system. There is a communal bathroom (toilet, bath and basin) in the Aframe. The two rooms in the Aframe (Mi Casa and The Attic) also have hand basins. Coffee and tea will always be available in the lapa as well as a fridge and deep freeze to store any traveling perishables or drinks. During your stay The 3 rooms to book are situated adjacent to the main house and you are welcome to join us in the main house for meals or if you prefer meals can be served in the lapa area.
