Escape the City- Vermont Studio

Our studio apartment is located minutes from Bennington College, and sits on 7 acres of land in the Grn. Mtn. National Forest. It's on the second floor of our home (above the garage) through a private entrance with a personal deck and outdoor seating. Take an afternoon stroll to the Mile Around Woods, or day hike to the white rocks! Walk the Ninja trail from the college to see the historic covered bridges, or drive 20-30 miles N to enjoy Vermont's best skiing, and shopping at designer outlets! The space This studio apartment has a private entrance to the right of the house up a flight of well lit stairs. NEW STAIRS AND DECK JUST BUILT! NEWLY FINISHED WOOD FLOORS AND FRESH PAINT IN APARTMENT!! There is a queen bed for 2 guests, but also will accommodate an additional guest to sleep on the couch for a small nightly fee. - Enjoy the plush bath towels and lux sheets. Extra pillows and blankets in closet. - Fully stocked kitchenette- wine glasses, mini smoothie blender, baking dishes, utensils, food storage containers, microwave, toaster oven, dish cloths, olive oil, salt, pepper, seasoning, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, etc. - There is a room fan available and 8 windows that can be opened to let in the fresh VT air! Please keep all windows and doors closed if it's raining or snowing. - There is a TV, a Firestick and a "smart" DVD player for Netflix and Prime video, but no cable or basic cable TV provided at all. - There is a drip coffee maker with a reusable filter basket. - Our Wifi booster works great in the space- the latest speed test results: 144 mbps download. 11.7 mbps upload. Latency: 16 ms. "Should be able to handle multiple devices streaming HD videos, video conferencing, and gaming at the same time. " - Bathroom does not have an outlet, oddly enough, so you'll find the hair dryer in the closet. There is an outlet in the closet near the vacuum, and a mirror on the inside of the door. - We do have a septic system so please DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper! - House rules: 1. NO SMOKING OR VAPING OF ANY KIND INSIDE APARTMENT, OR OUTSIDE ON DECK WHILE DOORS OR WINDOWS ARE OPEN ANYWHERE IN THE HOUSE. 2. Please REMOVE SHOES in apartment. 3. NO SKIS, BOOTS, or BOARDS inside apartment. 4. NO PETS ALLOWED ON PROPERTY. We have pets that may not get along with all other animals. 5. Please do not come to our front door, or on our walkway, as this is our dog’s area. He will bark and may jump on you :) 6. DO NOT LET OUR PETS INTO THE APARTMENT. Franky, our black and white cat may come say hello. 7. DO NOT FEED CAT OR DOGS. 8. NO PARTIES or events on the property. 9. Keep noise to a minimum after 10pm 10. Please USE FAN IN BATHROOM WHEN SHOWERING AND ABOVE STOVE WHEN COOKING. 11. Please RECYCLE! 12. Please clean wet spills immediately. Our floors are new and we’d like them to stay nice for our guests :) Guest access Parking, side yard to the right of house and driveway. There is a slack line you may use as well. The studio apartment is, of course, all yours for your booked dates. :) Other things to note We are in the process of residing the outside of our home! The appearance of the house from the outside may appear differently than photos through this process. We have three dogs: Cooper-likes to bark and jump, Blake- a little nervous around people, and Rockstar- a yippy chihuahua. The two bigger dogs have a wireless fence that should prevent them from entering the driveway and the guest space. Please do not come to our front door, as this is dog territory.
