The space Nestled near the picturesque village of Lustleigh, the team at Wray Valley invite you to discover our award-winning sustainable unique stables eco-bothies. Set in 10 acres of fields and woods within Dartmoor National Park, you’ll find tranquillity and adventure in equal measure. Furze (Devonian dialect for gorse) offers you an intimate connection with nature without compromising on warmth and convenience. A snug yet functional space for your stay, sustainably insulated with wood fibre, these retreats retain heat and provide a soothing ambience. Warm yourself by the cosy log burner, providing efficient heating for those chillier days and evenings. Furze comfortably accommodates three people, featuring a versatile triple bunk bed (double and single), along with a table and chairs for dining and games. There’s room for an extra bed if you wish to bring one. Just remember to bring your own bedding to personalise your experience. Lighting in the Stables Eco-Bothies is provided by an eco-conscious 12V solar-powered battery system, including individual reading lights for the bunks, convenient USB sockets for charging, as well as curtain and coat hooks for added privacy and practicality. Although cooking is designed to be an alfresco experience in the undercover cooking area – bring your camping stove and culinary creativity – we invite you to join us for a wholesome breakfast or a delightful evening meal at our B&B (please book the night before required). There is also a BBQ and outdoor seating area. Just a short stroll across the garden, you’ll find shared facilities, including refreshing hot showers, toilets, as well as kettle, microwave, and washing up facilities for your convenience. Our idyllic location within Dartmoor National Park promises spectacular scenery, wildlife encounters, and endless walking, climbing and cycling opportunities, making the Stables Eco-Bothies the ultimate base for your adventures. The shower block and kitchenette are shared with campers on the campsite. You are welcome to use the B&B guest lounge if you have purchased a drink or a meal. During your stay If you have any queries or need help please contact Michelle or Kevin who live on site in the B&B and will meet you on arrival. Other things to note Please remember that this is camping cabin style accommodation and we do not provide bedding, towels, cooking utensils and crockery. There is a BBQ next to the eco-bothy and a shared microwave and kettle in the campers kitchen. Cooking is possible on the top of the log burner (but this will make the inside of the eco-bothy quite hot in the summer. Your own stoves may be used in the undercover cooking area attached to the eco-bothy.
