The Kinkead's

Even as we have been greatly impacted by hurricane Melissa, you won’t want to leave this spacious and warm, charming place of solitude. A one-of-a-kind relaxing, quiet and peaceful place, with ample foliage and grounds exploration, equipped with wi-fi and firestick ready tv's. Private beach access is nearby, as are other amenities. Private transportation, taxis and tours are available. Each individually secured bedroom has it's own full private bathroom. Limited kitchen access is available. The space The Kinkead's is a large, private, home situated well off the beaten path of the hustle and bustle of the downtown area, nestled a 20-minute drive on top of a small mountain. In its relative seclusion, and surrounded by nature, guests can expect peace and solitude, as well as wide open spaces, spectacular views, and bush exploration throughout the three or so acre property. Whether in each individual key-locked room, or throughout the property, security is assured. Guest access Guests are welcome to utilize the entire first floor of the residence, including the Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Library and Office space - as well as the Receiving Foyer. (The only space that is off limits to guests on the first floor is a small storage room.) The second floor holds all of the guest sleeping quarters. In addition to their private rooms, guests are also welcome to avail themselves of the conveniently located sitting areas located in the hallways. For safety, security and privacy reasons, access to the third floor is limited. During your stay The Host is usually always home - usually working on making things better, and is always available to mingle if, and when, the opportunity arises. However, in addition to emergency information that will be posted in each private room, as well as in shared spaces, guests will have the Host's private mobile number in order to be able to communicate whenever necessary. Other things to note We are still recovering from hurricane Melissa. We were greatly impacted, but all essential repairs have bee completed. However, as of this time our communications company, FLOW, has still not repaired the wifi network, so we are without wifi until they repair their lines. But, your Host is always available to help and assist to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible, without being in the way. That said: STR's (short term rentals of one to twelve months) are welcome, as are hikers, backpackers, small retreat groups, weddings, events, and other types of gatherings. Room rates are on a per person rental basis. No on premise laundry facility: laundry service is available nearby. Rooms are cleaned once a week; any additional request for cleaning or new linen comes with a $50 cleaning fee. Although kitchen access is available for meal preparation as well as food refrigeration/ freezer, and storage, guests are responsible for their own meals. As a courtesy, The Kinkead's can offer planning and assistance with taxi and tour connections. There are certain taxi and tour operators that are affiliated with The Kinkead's, however, guests are ultimately responsible for their own bookings and transportation needs. Additional fees are assessed with any breakages that are as a result of any guest responsibility or accident. Lost keys are assessed a $50 replacement fee. Here, in this part of the Caribbean, power outages frequently occur; usually on a short term basis. In the event of power outages, electricity will not be available until the power company restores service. The Kinkead's are not responsible for any loss due to coincidental power outages or any other natural disasters. Access through the main security gate is controlled by The Host. No vehicle access during quiet hours: walk-through access only. To gain vehicle access during off hours, guests must arrange with Host via phone call or pre-arrangement. The Kinkead's are not equipped to accommodate various allergies and some other special needs, and urge guests to come with their own necessary specialized necessities.
