This newly renovated gite with all the comforts is the annex of the Berrye Fortress (Berrie, Vienne), a 12th century historical monument and renowned wine estate. Located between Saumur and Loudun, the gîte is at the heart of the vineyards of the Saumur appellation and close to many remarkable sites of the region (Fontevraud Abbey). The gîte is equipped with a very nice kitchen, four bedrooms, two of which have bathrooms. Capacity 8 to 10 people. The space Attention: the outdoor space is under development and the terrace is under construction (not very beautiful at the moment). Welcome to the Gite de la Fortress! This wine tourism lodge is one of the annexes to the Berrye Fortress, a winery and historical monument dating back to the 12th century. In the heart of the vineyards, you will discover the history of this exceptional place, our cave cellars where the wines of the castle are made and can possibly participate in the wine works. The rental opens the right to a visit of the monument. A cozy living room with a wood burning stove, wood supply, and a desk on the ground floor with a sofa bed. Upstairs four large bedrooms including two with their private bathrooms. New bedding and charming decoration. A third bathroom and an independent toilet. Garden (under development), terrace. This home comfortably sleeps 8-10.
