Stunning Condo at The Views of Sunset Estates
Description
This well decorated condo is located in The Views of Sunset Estates in West End. West End is unique like a Jimmy Buffet village (think Margaritaville) where there are bars and restaurants all along the main road which runs along side the beach. ***Electricity is not included***** The space The condo is located about a 8 minute walk, half of which is uphill, from main West End road. There are also two flights of stairs to get to the condo. The large, open floor plan condo has ocean views from the main room. The large kitchen has black granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, a breakfast bar, a cooking island, and everything else you will need to cook. Or reheat if you prefer to eat out. You can even look out at the ocean as you do dishes! The living and dining area are perfect for entertaining or relaxing after a long day at the beach. From here, you can walk outside and lounge on the balcony and watch sunset. The master bedroom has a King Bed and an en-suite bathroom. There are large sliding glass doors that open onto the balcony. You don’t even have to get out of bed to enjoy the view. The second bedroom also has a King Bed and en-suite bathroom. Other amenities include a flat screen TV with cable and DVD, a washer and dryer, and a dishwasher. The pool is a fantastic place to meet you neighbors and share an afternoon cocktail. Guest access They have access to the entire condo as well as the pool and garden area Other things to note The rate for your dates does not include electricity. It does include all taxes, fees, wireless internet, pool use, and drinking water. Electricity is quite expensive on Roatan. So Instead of charging fees for laundry, A/C , and so forth, it is easier and fairer to charge to for electricity instead. We read the meter at check-in and check-out, subtract the allowance, and use the previous month's bill to determine the charge per kilowatt hour. This amount is deducted from your security deposit. We found that including electricity in the price made people want to get their money's worth by leaving the A/Cs constantly on at full blast and every light in the place on. Not only is it eco unfriendly, it meant we had to tack on an extra $250 / week to the rental rate. The internet and power are as reliable as they can be for an island off the coast of Honduras. We have a fantastic year round breeze that comes straight through the condo if you leave the windows open. The master bedroom opens onto the balcony so you can leave the sliding glass door open and get a nice ocean breeze. The other bedrooms have screened windows that can also be left open. You might not even need A/C. If you are energy aware (use the AC only at night, put your towels on the clothes line to dry instead of in the dryer, and turn off lights when not in use) I would say the electricity will be around $10 - $20/ day. We are on an island off the coast of Honduras. We have frequent power, internet, and water outages that are outside of our control. It is the price of living in paradise. No refunds will be given in the event of any utility outages beyond our control.
