The Black House, Islay

The Black House is a unique property situated between Bruichladdich and Port Charlotte on the island of Islay. We use the house for High School to save commuting from Jura every day so don’t expect a pristine holiday let but rather a loved family space. There are 2 double beds and 2 bunk bedrooms (if you’re a party of single adults then 4 is the maximum number). Views are stunning and Islay’s great for whisky, wildlife or just rest and relaxation. The space The house is a contemporary, architect designed detached property with incredible views across Lochindaal to Bowmore and the Paps of Jura. Guest access The house sits on a 7 acre plot at the end of a very rough 200 metre track. It’s not suitable for a low slung car. Other things to note There’s a downstairs bathroom with shower, a second bathroom on the first floor with bath and shower and an ensuite toilet with shower off the main bedroom. We have agreed a no dog policy with our neighbours as the house is on a croft with livestock. Registration Details AR02599F
