The First Stop

Located just 200 feet from the Bay Drive walking path, where there are magnificent sunsets, lies the First Stop. The First Stop is a one bedroom, one bath residence in the heart of Kill Devil Hills. Guests will have their own private entrance and covered front deck space. Visit and go fishing at the Avalon Pier located at the end of the street. Return home after a fun day at the beach, spray the salt and sand off in the outdoor shower, and clean your fish at the cleaning station. The space The First Stop is a one bedroom and one bathroom located on the bottom floor of our family home. The space offers a queen sized bed and a two-person table and chairs used for dining or a laptop station. Sorry there is no access to a kitchen, but in the room there is a refrigerator, k-cup coffee maker, and microwave. Sorry no grilling or cooking on camping stoves at the First Stop. The space also includes a private bathroom with a shower. This is a perfect destination for a single person or couple looking to get away and avoid the high hotel prices. The First Stop is ideal for visitors in town for a wedding, festival, surf contest, or fishing trip. Guest access Guests can access the downstairs room and bathroom as well as the bottom floor outdoor deck and shower. During your stay My name is Will. My family and I live upstairs in the main house, so you may hear us moving around from time to time. We are respectful of our guests privacy, but if you ever need anything or have any questions about the area during your stay don't hesitate to ask. My contact information is listed in the welcome book in the room or just come knock on my door and chat with me. Other things to note My family and our dogs live in the main home above the First Stop so guests may here occasional footsteps from above. Most of the day we will be at work so footsteps will be at a minimum during business hours.
