Here, warm details are combined with real mountain tranquility – a place to relax and just enjoy the silence.☀️ The space Welcome to a charming and comfortable guest cabin at Aurdalsåsen in Valdres – perfect for a relaxing stay in the mountains, summer and winter. The cabin is located at approx. 980 meters above sea level in a quiet courtyard and has easy access to hiking trails and beautiful nature right outside the door. The cabin can accommodate up to 6 people and is ideal for families or couples. There are two bedrooms, both with spacious family bunks (a double and a single bunk in each room). In addition, there is a small loft above the bathroom – perfect as an extra sleeping space for older children. The living room has an open and cozy solution with living room and kitchen in one. Here there is a fireplace, dining table and sofa, as well as small windows that let in a lot of light. The kitchen is fully equipped with what you need, and has both good counter space and dishwasher facilities. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and heating cables in the floor. Connected to the bathroom you will find a sauna – perfect for relaxing after a day out in the mountains. The cabin is built in traditional style with timber and good material choices, combining real cabin atmosphere with modern comfort. ☆ ACTIVITIES IN THE AREA ☆ Aurdalsåsen, beautifully located in Valdres, is a perfect destination for those who want to enjoy fresh mountain air, spectacular nature and quiet surroundings. The area offers a wide range of activities throughout the year, whether you prefer exciting experiences or relaxing days in nature. Activities throughout the year: ✹ Hiking and cycling - A varied network of marked hiking trails and mountain trails provides great opportunities for both short and long trips on foot or by bike. ✹ Cross-country skiing – Right by the cabin you will find well-prepared ski tracks that take you far into the mountains, with the possibility of trips all the way to Beitostølen. ✹ Alpine – Valdres Alpine Center is located nearby, with the possibility of ski-in. Here you will find varied descents suitable for both beginners and experienced skiers. ✹ Fishing: Several mountain lakes in the surrounding area provide great opportunities for fishing, whether you prefer a quiet summer evening by the water's edge or exciting autumn fishing. ✹ Golf – One of the country's most beautiful golf courses is only 8 km away, idyllically located by the lake and known for its scenic location. In winter, you can enjoy a good lunch with something good in the glass at Koja Panorama, located at the top station 1060 meters above sea level. Here you get a fantastic view of the mountains, and it is a perfect place for a break between ski trips. Experience spectacular nature! The cabin stay also provides a perfect base for exploring Valdresflye, a scenic high mountain road only one hour away. Here you get panoramic views of the mountains, and the road passes through magnificent scenery at over 1,300 meters altitude. The area offers fantastic hiking opportunities, both short walks and longer mountain hikes. Right by Valdresflye is Jotunheimen National Park, Norway's alpine paradise. This area is known for majestic mountain peaks, clear lakes and beautiful nature. Here you will find some of Norway's most famous mountains, such as Besseggen, Galdhøpiggen (Northern Europe's highest mountain) and Glittertind. Jotunheimen is ideal for mountain trips, cycling, cross-country skiing in winter and nature experiences all year round. Perfect for those who want to experience Norwegian nature at its best! For daily necessities, the nearest grocery store, Kiwi, is about 15 minutes drive down the valley. If you want a wider selection of shops, you will find more options at Leira, while Fagernes is the nearest shopping center with, among other things, a shopping center, liquor store, cafes and restaurants.
