The Golden Hour, in the heart of Beaujolais

Welcome to our golden stone building in the heart of Beaujolais. We have lovingly renovated this building, an old fortified farmhouse dating from the 15th century. We have given this magical place an interior as warm as the surroundings of the Beaujolais. We will be delighted to host you for a quiet stay in this place full of history. The rays of the sun illuminate the terrace at the end of the afternoon and bathe the building in light. It's the golden hour! ☀️ The space Our cottage is ideal for stays with families, friends and corporate seminars. 🌱🏠😊 Outside, you can enjoy a terrace and a west-facing garden (about 100 m²). The pool (5m x 2.5m) reserved for you is open from May to October (weather dependent). 💦 The cottage has 160 m² of living space, 3 bedrooms, 1 dorm, 4 bathrooms and 5 toilets. On the ground floor - A very friendly space with a large lounge and a fully equipped open kitchen. - A bathroom with a shower and toilet, a washer and a dryer. - And to satisfy all tastes, we have equipped the seating area with a large TV, as well as books and board games . 🧩🎲 Outside - A terrace and a west-facing garden with deckchairs and cushions (approximately 150 m²). - A small pool measuring 5m x 2.5m reserved for you (open May to October). 💦 - A garden in the north is also accessible to you if you are a fan of pétanque or Breton puck (available for free on request). Following several unpleasant experiences, bachelor parties and lively parties (loud music, loud nighttime noise, etc.) are not welcome. Enjoy your stay! Johanna, Sophie, Pascal, Matthieu and the children. ----- An eco-responsible project We were committed to instilling a true ecological dimension to this project. This home was born from the complete transformation of an old guesthouse, which we have completely renovated by prioritizing sustainable, local and responsible choices. Insulation was made of hemp wool, a biosourced material, and the work was carried out by minimizing their carbon impact with locally sourced materials. We have also redesigned the daily use of the place: a tank allows to collect rainwater, used in particular to naturally fill the pool, heated passively. The thermal comfort of the building is enhanced by outdoor greening that limits overheating. Inside, the refreshment is done by a water system, much less energy intensive than a conventional air conditioning. The products offered are part of a zero waste approach: organic bulk soaps, natural shampoos, waste sorting, compost available… Linens are recycled — towels come from old luxury hotels and sheets are made of recycled cotton — while the furniture has been heathered or comes from European short circuits. Even the mattresses have been chosen for their responsible manufacturing in Europe. ----- A great location We are located 40 minutes drive from downtown Lyon, and 35 minutes from Mâcon TGV train station (1h35 from Paris). In the heart of Beaujolais, a hilly, bright and festive region, often compared to Tuscany for the beauty of its landscapes and lifestyle. On the Wine Route, with many winemakers in the village and surroundings, including several in organic farming. Walks for all tastes: hiking trails, mountain biking or road biking tours through vineyards and forests. Absolute calm, at the end of a cul-de-sac, surrounded by nature, without vis-à-vis. A small village nearby, with a grocery store and friendly cafe within walking distance. Many restaurants can be reached in a few minutes by car, to discover the local gastronomy. 10 minutes from Villefranche-sur-Saône and 40 minutes from Lyon, to combine urban getaways and nature stay. A lively region all year round, with a rich historical heritage, cultural events, and a deep-rooted sense of party. Guest access The entire house is accessible.
