Sleeps 4-5. Queen bed, Twin bed w/trundle, Full Futon. Cute Cottage in walking distance to boat launch, Island Pond Beach, Country Store/Deli. Pets welcome. Swim or boat at local lakes, explore hiking trails, the Harris Wildlife Center, see Highland cows and buffalo at Pitcher Mountain Farm, or just chill & BBQ at the cottage with a nice beverage by the fire pit. Nice restaurants to visit in Peterborough, Keene, and Jaffery. The little marina on Highland lake is set to reopen this summer. The space The cottage can sleep 4 adults, or 2 adults plus several kid-sized people. The private bedroom has a nice new queen bed. The living room has a full size futon. The sunroom has a twin daybed, plus a roll out trundle. Of course the property is a cottage so these additional sleeping arrangements are not as private as the actual bedroom. All rooms on same level. Four steps up to entryway. See photo for accessibility/mobility purposes. We're walking distance to the deli/general store post office and less than a mile to the little beach/boat launch. My driveway has room for a boat trailer. Stoddard is a lake community which means people will be kayaking and fishing on the lake. You'll probably hear music and bbq sounds. You'll hear loons, frogs and ducks. People occasionally set off fireworks on the weekends. The vibe is family style cheerful and happy, (But not wild like Laconia bike week or anything). We're very conscious of keeping the lake healthy so request that people go lightly with products, lean towards natural soaps, and only TP gets flushed but preferably trashed. Guest access Guests have access to the full home. The driveway is graded uphill from the lake and has a nice gravel turnaround area so you can exit forward onto 123. There are 2 storage sheds on the property where we keep works in progress, cleaning items, tools etc.. We prefer guests don't enter the storage sheds. Other things to note Queen Bed in bedroom is private with a door that closes. Sofa bed is in the living room. Twin bed and trundle are in the sun room. So if you are bringing 5+ people, sleeping is less private in the sun room and living room. People would need to pass through the living room to get to the bathroom. Deli is 1.3 mile walk, Island pond boat launch is 1/2 mile walk. If you're driving, both have parking. Our driveway has room for a boat trailer or small RV.
