A charming, peaceful country escape for two. Please note, this listing is exclusively for singles and couples using one bedroom. For use of both bedrooms, please find our other listing- “Longview - charming country cottage”. The space Built in the 1910s, Longview has been thoughtfully and lovingly restored and renovated. Every detail has been considered to ensure your stay is memorable. French flax linen sheets make for cosy beds in the bedroom, with an air conditioner for extra comfort in the colder and hotter months. The open plan living space at the back of the house is a new addition. Large windows look out to the garden and paddocks behind the house, and the back deck. There are both indoor and outdoor tables to gather and share a meal. A split system air conditioner & comfortable seating makes for an enjoyable place to relax in both winter and summer. The TV is small and only connects to the internet, not channels. Netflix is available with an excellent internet connection. There is a good collection of books and cookbooks to browse and enjoy while you are here, from our own personal collection. While the kitchen is small, it has everything you need to create delicious meals, including a large Smeg oven with gas stovetop and a dishwasher. The large veranda is the perfect place for your morning coffee or evening gin and tonic looking out across the town to Mt Mittamatite. The bathroom has been newly renovated with a walk-in shower and a view out to the Cudgewa Valley. We provide all the bathroom essentials so you don’t have to. If you require a work space, Longview has excellent internet & a dedicated study with a desk. There is a chimnea for a fire outdoors in the cooler months. Guest access You have full, private use of the house and garden, however, please be aware this booking only gives you access to one bedroom. Other things to note We stock a small pantry of the essentials - olive oil, sea salt, pepper, coffee, loose leaf tea. Sometimes our flock of chickens may lay enough eggs to share! We do not have a washing machine, however, there is a laundromat in the main street if you require it.
