There is also access to the common and a nearby footpath takes you down to the harbour with the foot ferry to Walberswick (summer only). And don't forget that the beach is never very far away! For exceptional days out further afield, Aldeburgh with its music festival and homages to Benjamin Britten is 18 miles south, whilst, to the north, Lowestoft is the most easterly point in Britain and has theme parks gardens and zoos to explore.
