The space The condo is located in Sunset Villas, also known as West End Resort, a quiet safe neighborhood in West End. The condo comes with access to the fantastic Sunset Villas swimming pools. It is a 2 minute walk to the main strip of West End where you will find shops, more than 20 restaurants, dive shops, bars, a beach, world class snorkeling, and more. You definitely will not need a car. The condo is a 2 bedroom/ 1 bathroom ground floor condo. The inside living area is 1000 sq ft plus a 100 sq ft balcony. It has a large kitchen, breakfast bar, dining table, and living area all in one big open space. The living room has a sofa and love seat and a flat screen TV with DVD and Cable. The balcony also has two Adirondack chairs and a dining table and chairs. The master bedroom has a King bed. The second bedroom is quite large and has a Queen and a Twin. The bathroom is accessible from the living room and the master bedroom. There is also a washer and dryer. The balcony also has a sitting area and a hammock perfect for relaxing with a cold beverage after a long day at the beach. This charming condo comfortably sleeps 4 adults. We will only accept 5 renters if at least 2 of them are children. As part of our rental service, we can arrange for anything and everything you want to do while on the island. We have lived here for over 7 years and know everything about everything on Roatan. We can even stock the refrigerator with your favorite foods and drinks. What better than to have an ice cold beer waiting for you upon arrival? ELECTRICITY IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL PRICE. We include an electricity allowance that covers the use of the fans, fridge, and hot water heater. But instead of charging fees for laundry, A/C , extra people, and so forth, it is easier and fairer to charge for electricity instead. We read the meter at check-in and check-out and use the previous month's bill to determine the rate. We found that including electricity in the price made people want to get their money's worth by leaving the A/Cs constantly on at full blast and every light in the place on. Not only is it eco unfriendly, it meant we had to tack on an extra $270 / week to the rental rate. We are also an eco-friendly and community involved rental property. We do as much as we can to reduce our environmental footprint. We have super energy efficient ACs and hot water heaters. We use all natural, cleaning products when possible; cut down on plastic waste; have recycling and composting available for renters; support local NGOs that work on environmental and coral reef conservation; and provide eco tips and advice for guests while they are on the island. We also support several island charity groups including animal rescue groups, child development groups, and environmental groups. Assuming there are 2 people in the condo and you turn the lights off when not in use but do use the ACs in the bedrooms at night, the electricity should be about $5-$10/ night. The last couple that rented the unit only used $26.85 for a 2 week stay. Another couple used $70 and another $150 in a week. It really just depends on how aware you are. We also require a fully refundable security deposit of $500 that is due in cash at check-in.
