Cottage in Marvão

Casa dos Galegos combines traditional architecture with a modern layout. It is located in the village of Galegos, right in the heart of the São Mamede Natural Park, in the Alto Alentejo region, just 11 km from the villages of Marvão and Castelo de Vide. It features a wood pellet stove for winter and a private outdoor pool for summer. It is the ideal place to take a break and relax, with the perfect balance of being close to everything yet far enough away at the same time. The space An old country house, typically from North Alentejo, renovated with simplicity, comfort, and sophistication, ideal for 2 guests. It features a master bedroom with a queen-size bed (160x200) and an en-suite bathroom, a living room with a pellet stove, dining area, and a small kitchen equipped with a fridge, microwave, and induction cooktop. In the summer, guests can relax by their private (seasonal) pool and sunbathe on the loungers. Pool towels are provided. The garden features a barbecue that operates exclusively with charcoal (not provided). Free Wi-Fi access is available. Other things to note There are several cats living outside in the property, all vaccinated, treated, spayed/neutered, and extremely friendly. Guests can interact with the animals if they like, or simply ignore them. However, they live on the property and are an integral part of it. Under no circumstances are guests permitted to let the cats inside the house, feed them any kind of food, or leave unattended food out for them. Adherence to these rules is essential for the well-being of the animals and all our guests (including those who have allergies or are not the biggest fans of felines). Thank you!
