Where the hill ends, and river bed begins- lies our green sanctuary, in the Dabka river valley. Surrounded by forests and fields the property is spread over 1 acre. It has 2 stone rooms, 1 mud room, 2 bathrooms, lawn, garden, pool, outdoor showers, patio, bar counter, orchard, playground and kitchen garden. 5hr drive from NCR Waterfall- 5min Jim Corbett- 25km Nainital, Bhimtal- 50km BBQ, bonfire, projector, workout equipment, sheesha Complimentary breakfast. Cook, caretaker live on property. The space LOCATION- Base of the Dabka River Valley, surrounded by deciduous forests of Sal, Deodar and Teak. At the foot of the first hill of the Naini Range, where the forest merges into the Dabka River bed. Active river flow- June to October. WILDLIFE- Unique geological area is home to wild fauna and flora. On an good day you can spot/ hear at least 10 bird species. During monsoons, the river turns into a watering hole for deer, elephants and other animals. PROPERTY- The property is an eclectic mix of landscapes and open spaces. ROOMS- 2 vintage stone rooms, 1 vernacular mud room. BATHROOMS- 1 bathroom attached to a room, and a second built as a standalone structure, near the garden. POOL- A sitting pool big enough for 4-6 adults. LAWN- a small manicured lawn outside the rooms. It begins at the periphery of Jim Corbett’s forests, with expansive valleys. A gateway to The Himalayas, silhouettes of the Shivaliks can be seen in the distance. Moving North, the elevation gently increases, giving way to the first hills of the Nainital Range. The Dabka river to the West and Baur river to the East traverse along its length. This varied topography allows for adventure activities, detoxifying locales, birding opportunities & diverse wild flora and fauna. The valley is lined by farmlands and orchards, while the hills have contour farms. This geography is known as Bhabar– a belt of 8–16 km lying parallel to the slopes of the Shivaliks, where the rivers descending from the mountains deposit pebbles and disappear into permeable sediments. Ecoregion- Himalayan Subtropical Broadleaf Forest. Home to indigenous litchi, varieties of mango, gooseberry, jackfruit, turmeric, ragi & ginger.
