The journey begins in the heart of the village, in the Plaza de la Democracia, from where we enter a path that will take us across the Fuente de la Plazuela stream over a charming granite bridge. Along the way, we cross open fields, old pasture fences, olive trees and orchards with wells that still retain their traditional waterwheels. Following the Monterrubio slope, the trail guides us to the Puerto de La Cinta, a natural pass at an altitude of 652 meters that separates the Sierra de la Cinta and the Sierra Trapera. In winter, seasonal puddles, such as Laguna Ramos, become home to various waterfowl, adding a touch of wildlife to the tour. The route takes us past the hermitage of Nuestra Señora de Fátima, an emblematic place where every second Sunday in May the town celebrates its traditional pilgrimage. Before arriving, we cross the historic route of the Córdoba-Almorchón railway and the mythical Venta del Contrabandista, evoking stories of the old Almorchón or Los Contrabandistas trail.
