Welcome to our spacious, unique home. This rustic, magical home is handcrafted from local timber and bricks made on property, and furnished for comfort. No matter the weather, you'll have plenty to enjoy including - Convenient access to many local attractions - 2 separate living areas in the house, complete with books, games and smart TVs - The Studio: Pool table, art space, smart TV, kitchenette - Undercover patio Bar & BBQ area - Firepit with table seating - Acres to roam and explore Nature The space THE HOUSE The house has four bedrooms - sleeping for up to three couples and two singles. Additional fold-out double sofa beds are available in the Studio but MUST be requested upon booking. Additional charge of $25 per sofa per night. Downstairs: Bedroom 1 - Queen sized bed, air conditioner, private shower, clothes hanging rail, drawers Open plan slate tiled living/dining area with fireplace and smart TV Kitchen - crockery, cutlery, pots & pans, 5- burner gas cooktop, oven, kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, dishwasher Walk-in pantry Office - vintage office desk and chair Bathroom - with rain shower, hand basin and toilet - Please note due to the property relying on rainwater tanks the plug is not provided for the bathtub. If you require use of the bathtub facility please enquire. Upstairs: Bedroom 2 - Open loft master bedroom, Queen sized bed, pedestal fan, walk-in robe Bedroom 3 - Single bed, pedestal fan, wardrobe and drawers Bedroom 4 - Double bed, pedestal fan, wardrobe and drawers Upstairs Lounge with Smart TV Upstairs toilet and handbasin Outside: Bar area - table setting, couch, BBQ and bar fridge Exterior laundry with additional toilet Outside shower Firepit with seating The Studio: Pool table and accessories Smart TV Art table Kitchenette and fridge 2 x sofa couches/ fold out double beds available at extra cost (upon request at $25 per sofa per night) From this cozy hinterland cottage you can easily day-trip to amazing experiences from Noosa and the Sunshine Coast to Maleny and Montville or Fraser Coast region and Mary Valley historic towns. WHAT TO DO AT THE PROPERTY? Yarn around the campfire: You're welcome to gather any sticks from around the yard, or help yourself to the woodpile beside the driveway. Cook over the open fire on the hotplate and grill or roast in the coals and don't forget the marshmallows! For the safety of guests and the property, do not leave fires unattended and make sure they are put out after use. Lazy afternoon BBQ and drinks on the Deck: While your roast cooks in the Ziegler and Brown barbeque, relax on the deck surrounded with leafy gardens and views over the dam, enjoying your cool beverage from the outdoor bar fridge within arms reach. Hang out in the air-conditioned Studio: The Studio rec room is equipped with a fridge and kitchenette, pool table and accessories, dartboard, cornhole set, art supplies, smart TV and plenty of space if you'd like to roll out the yoga mat and enjoy the wraparound natural view. Two double fold-out sofa beds provide additional sleeping spaces (Must be requested on booking - additional charge of $25 per sofa per night). Check out the animals: Wildlife that have been seen at the property include Echidnas, Koalas, Pademlons, Possums, Gliders and the resident mob of Eastern Grey Kangaroos who often hang out in the adjacent paddocks. Brahman cattle and horses also graze in the adjacent paddocks, and you may be visited by the peacocks and guinea fowl which roam the area. Admire from a distance, please do not approach wildlife or livestock and remember to drive with care to keep our wildlife safe. In the house: If you're worn out from saturating in the nature, or just want some chill time you’ll find smart tv's both in the upstairs and downstairs lounges, and an extensive dvd collection to browse. Cozy up beside the fireplace in the downstairs lounge - Chess and other games are stored in the coffee table, and there's a selection of books ranging from fiction, history, Australiana and childrens books. Guest access You're welcome to enjoy the entire house and studio and the fenced house area of approximately three acres. The locked shed and fenced off area are out of bounds to guests. Other things to note Booked guests only are permitted at the property. Prior written approval from the hosts via Airbnb messaging must be obtained if you wish to have anyone else attend the property during your stay and extra costs may apply. Due to the property relying on rain water to fill the tanks, the plug is not provided for the bathtub. If you require the bathtub facility please enquire. There are ponds and dams on the property. Parents/carers are responsible to supervise children. Children must be responsibly supervised at all times and the booking guest will be responsible for any costs incurred for any loss/damage or extra cleaning arising from childrens actions. Your hosts live next door - over 150m of field and forest away - far enough to ensure your privacy but close enough to assist with any issues at the property during your stay.
