The Sorting Shed is a self contained annex, in the picturesque village of Coxwold, within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Ideal for two or three nights stay for one or two adults. The area is surrounded by stunning views, beautiful walks and historic sites. There are lots of places to explore nearby! The space The Sorting Shed is a self contained, cosy, one room annex located to the rear of The Old Post Office main house. Built in 2024, this space has been lovingly created & designed for two or three night stays, for one or two adult guests. A welcoming space to rest your head after a day of exploring! All amenities were brand new on build completion. Guests can park outside the front of the main house & walk down the drive, where they will see The Sorting Shed located to the left of the double garage. There is a small patio out the front with an outside table and chairs for two. The front door takes you into the main room of The Sorting Shed. Here you will find a well appointed space with a comfy double bed, fridge, TV with Wifi & streaming service access, kettle, toaster, radio & hairdryer. Tea, coffee & fresh milk are provided for your stay. There is also a large sideboard for storage, coat hooks with coat hangers & a shoe rack. A sliding door at the back of the room leads you into the en-suite, modern bathroom with shower, sink & toilet. Towels are provided & shampoo, conditioner & shower gel are also available. The Sorting Shed is located at the end of the drive of our home. Our drive & garden are open plan to the back of our house. While we are often out on a weekend, we have two young children & two Labrador dogs who may be playing in the garden during your stay. Our children & animals are all very friendly & inquisitive! The Sorting Shed is just over the road from Rumah Home Tearooms, which serve delicious brunches, lunches & cakes. Also in the village, a short 5-min walk away, is the fabulous Fauconberg Arms Pub, which serves lunch & dinner seven days a week, sourcing produce from the local area. Tommy Banks' gastro Pub, The Abbey Inn & Michelin Starred restaurant, The Black Swan at Oldstead are both 5-minutes drive away. The historic sites of Newburgh Priory, Shandy Hall & St Michael's Church are popular tourist attractions within the village. Five minutes in the car & you can find yourself at Byland Abbey ruins, or the White Horse at Kilburn. There are stunning views every way you look & many beautiful walks. Further afield, 10-15 minutes drive away is The Durham Ox Gastropub at Crayke & the quaint market towns of Helmsley, Easingwold & Thirsk. The area is bountiful with places to visit, eat & explore! Guest access Guests have sole use of The Sorting Shed and small patio. Check in via secure key lockbox, the code will be sent upon booking. There is parking space for one car at the front of the property. Other things to note Pets are not permitted. There is a fridge, toaster, kettle & tea & coffee making facilities. There is not a kitchen. This is self service accommodation.
